He owes it all to the Keystone Kops of the leisure class. For the past decade the Democrats have managed to defy gravity by bolting together an unlikely coalition of the richest and poorest Americans. Its no secret. Ever since President Bushs re-election in 2004, the pattern has been clear. People making above $100,000 and below $40,000 vote Democratic. The people in the middle vote Republican.
But now that top-bottom coalition is about to come apart, or lose its majority status at least. And the issue will be one that may loom larger than the debacle of Obamacare the Keystone Pipeline.
.. African-Americans vote 90 percent for him and form an indispensable part of his coalition. But Obama hasnt done a thing for them since taking office except increase unemployment.
...
Obamas critical support comes from the upper crust of America, the citizens who live comfortably sheltered in academia and the non-profit sector, who dont care much about electricity or the manufacturing economy but who honestly believe that we can shut down the whole middle portion of the country and turn off the lights in order to save the world from the pollution of carbon dioxide.
...
Obamas most crucial supporters the upper-class environmental movement have drawn the line in the sand. Approve the Keystone Pipeline and hes toast.
...
It has now become obvious that the economy is never going to improve under Obama because he and his supporters dont want it to.

When you couple an aristocratic upper crust that has lost interest in economic progress with a lumpenproletariat that doesnt understand growth and only wants handouts from the government, you have a prescription for long economic decline.

I would stand corrected, if I weren't already sitting down :-) though in my defense, as far as Plato and Marx were both concerned, the purpose of socialism is to only have three classes, the rulers, the enforcers, and the rest of us, so that we are in fact demoted from the bourgeoisie to the proletariat (assuming we aren't killed first).
The “blue wall” (electoral votes that have gone D six times in a row or more) is currently 242. I don’t see any of those changing anytime soon.
So the Dem task is pretty simple, win Ohio or Florida and they’re in.

There is still massive voter fraud and the Washington RINOs to wield, so for the Democrats there remains great hope.
