You posit an interesting argument. One that has circulated for two millenia.

Jews (all of Israel) are still the apple of God’s eye.

The Messiah is amply predicted throughout the Old Testament.

He came and was rejected (but not by all Jews).

I would never claim the Jews to be anything other than God’s chosen people. They are. Live with it. They are the fount of most of science, culture, technology, music and they wrote the Bible under direct inspiration by God.

Therefor if the Jews never again wrote a simple phrase of poetry or verse, they have already excelled all of human history.

So, what was your question again?

I celebrate in my heart that the Jews were again placed in their land. I also know without any doubt they will recognize whom they pierced and they will weep in remorse.

This will happen. I might not be alive to see it. Maybe you will. I hope that you will rejoice when every knee bows and every mouth proclaims that Jesus is Lord.

You can look it up. Or not.

The argument "Muslims worship a DIFFERENT God than us because the reject Jesus as the Messiah and the second person of the trinity, but when Jews do the same thing, they're worshiping the SAME God as us and its fine and dandy" makes no sense to me, sorry. Either people need to accept Jesus or not. There's no section of the Bible that says "Nobody is allowed to reject Jesus, EXCEPT Jews"

>> Jews (all of Israel) are still the apple of God’s eye. I would never claim the Jews to be anything other than God’s chosen people. They are. Live with it. <<

They are God's chosen people in the Old Testament. The New Testament makes it clear that the curtain in the temple was torn in two and that CHRISTIANS inherited the true faith because the Jewish people had rejected the messiah, declaring "Let his blood be upon us and our children" Again, there's NO section of the New Testament where God says its fine to reject his Son or an angel announces "It's OK to reject Jesus if you're Jewish, you're STILL the chosen ones anyway, NOT the Christians!"

>> The Messiah is amply predicted throughout the Old Testament. <<

Yes, but modern days Jews (other than Messianic Jews with are less than the 1% of Jews) explicitly reject and denounce the idea that Jesus is the one that was foretold in the Old Testament. They will tell you he was an ordinary man.

>> He came and was rejected (but not by all Jews). <<

The Jews that accepted Jesus at the time became the first Christians. Furthermore, many gentiles who were NOT of Jewish origin became Christians as well. This is also explicitly mentioned in the Bible, especially with St. Paul and the argument over circumcision. There's NO rule you HAVE to be Jewish and from "God's chosen people" to be saved. You simply don't have to be Jewish to be "chosen" by God. Plenty of non-Jews who had never observed the Jewish faith or customs became the first Christians.

>> They are the fount of most of science, culture, technology, music and they wrote the Bible under direct inspiration by God. Therefor if the Jews never again wrote a simple phrase of poetry or verse, they have already excelled all of human history. <<

I disagree. We owe Jewish culture a lot more contributions to mankind, but they are certainly not superior to other cultures that became Christian, like Greeks or Romans, and they certainly aren't the font of all knowledge and wisdom in western civilization. Furthermore, if I agreed with your beliefs about Jewish supremacy, I'd probably just leave Christianity and convert to Judaism since they're so "superior" to the rest of us and God prefers them to other faiths. I'd want to be a member of the faith that God "chooses" over everybody else.

>> I celebrate in my heart that the Jews were again placed in their land. <<

I agree with that, but again I don't elevate them over other people. I weep for the fact that Christians have been purged from our lands, like the ancient Christian city of Constantinople now being 99% Muslim. Certainly that city belongs to Christians as much as Jerusalem belongs to Jews.

>> So, what was your question again? <<

Why it is Muslims have a "different God" when they reject that Jesus is divine, but Jews have the "same God" when they also reject Jesus? Different rules for different religions, I guess. (again, not in the New Testament, it says to bring EVERYONE to Jesus).
