I am a regular guy with a family, mortgage and dog living in suburban Kansas City, Missouri. I have limited experience shooting at the local range with my sons, nothing more. This is my short experience with the decision, process and outcome of obtaining my CCW license . . .
The idea to obtain a CCW came in the aftermath of some horrible tragedy in America, I dont recall the actual event, but it got me thinking about protecting my family as well as myself. I never wanted to just be another victim if it ever occured to me, I wanted to be part of the solution. Perhaps a hero. As naive as this sounds it was the thought of doing nothing versus doing something that made up my mind.

“Welcome to Citizenship, friend” and “Welcome to The War For You Rights”.
If you do not carry, you choose to be defenseless - for yourself and those you love.
Welcome to the carry club.
Welcome to the carry club. Unless I’m naked I’m carrying.
Ankle holsters sound like a good way to carry a small pistol, but doesn’t it print/show when you sit down and the pants hem comes up?
This is how I define “Pro Choice”.
I “CHOOSE” to be licensed, practiced and, when feel the need I “CHOOSE” to carry.
I read somewhere that there is a large body of people who have a different definition of “Pro Choice”.
I’m “Pro Choice” according to the English definition of the word.
Big Fat Legs???
“...Unless Im naked Im carrying...”
That’s why they make flesh-toned Glocks... for just such a contingency...
Yeah, I know... i was just being a wiseguy, buddy.
I said “Glocks” Not “BLOCKS”...
Malkovich always looks like he’s REALLY stoned...
Ankle holsters are kinda slow on the draw. Perhaps as a backup (In states that allow for than one carry gun at a time).
I read one of those "Different Carry For Different Situations" articles where they recommend the usual for stand up carry, but an ankle holster to provide easier access for those sitting down - desk jockeys or drivers. Seems to make sense.
I'm thinking of getting one for driving any long distance.
