I’ve never owned any slaves.

I refuse to accept that slavery more than a century ago has afforded me any advantage -or- inflicted any disadvantage to anyone else alive today.
I’ve had to start over from scratch three times in my life due to my own choices. This time, by the grace of GOD, I’ve learned from my mistakes and know better than to repeat them.
I’ve had to fight for every inch I’ve gained.
No one gave me anything I didn’t earn.
I’ve never met anyone of any color who had any standing to blame me for their poor choices or unfortunate circumstances.
Anyone who claims any different about me is delusional and is simply refusing to take personal responsibility for their own failures and looking to blame anyone and anything to protect their own ego. Period.
Once again sir, you boil things down to a couple biting lines of snark that just plain destroys the crap and sets a proper tone for dealing with both the Progs and those that fear saying what needs to be said.
“In your face” applies to both. Alinsky to the Progs and those that cower from using the tactics the Progs use.

Do you know how quickly this place could degenerate into looking like DU, if we don’t make some effort to police ourselves?
At DU, they love the cussing, it is some kind of lefty, “authenticity” thing, “keeping it real”, showing ones “true emotions”, their “realism”, their “street cred”.

When I worked at a liberal think tank in my youth, I got mightily fed up with a lot of my African-American co-workers. Not all, mind you.
There was the black temp who accused me of racism because I walked slightly ahead of her to show her to her seat. She also accused me of racism because I went through her absent bosses’ mail - as instructed by the boss because we felt a temp wouldn’t know what to do with it. We assumed that all the temp should do was answer the phone and take messages.
My favorite, was the intern from a major university who was given an office that had been vacated by a program officer. I kept the program officer’s rolodex in there because my desk was overwhelmed. She complained about this nasty rolodex every day until she decided to throw it away. Everyone went mad once they realized that this important document had been destroyed!!! She then went to a black Program Officer and said that I had demanded she throw it away. Fortunately, the boss of the entire outfit saw through the entire episode and knew I would never do that. My only regret? That I didn’t take that damned rolodex out of that b’s hands. This same intern went to the President of the organization (a black man) complained of endemic racism. A nice guy, he rolled his eyes and sent her back to her giant office.
I went into this organization a raving lib and came out a raving con. Go figure.
