Six-city chase ends with driver arrested in Alamo

by Action 4 News Staff

Authorities have confirmed a man is in custody following a chase that spanned six different cities in Hidalgo County.

It all started when a driver refused to stop for law enforcement officials in Palmview.

The driver then led authorities on a chase through Mission, McAllen, Pharr, San Juan and Alamo.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the chase ended in Alamo with the driver being arrested.

Neither the name of the driver nor a motive were immediately available.

Action 4 News will provide more information as it becomes available.

I live just off I-680 in Danville. Here is the local news story:

http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2013/03/21/details-emerge-about-man-who-shot-chp-officer-on-i-680-near-alamo/

This did NOT happen in Texas, Alamo is in Contra Costa County, California. About 25 miles east of San Francisco.
