Root: We Are All Veterans Now (CommieCare will be 1,000 times worse)
http://nation.foxnews.com ^ | May 20, 2014 | Wayne Allyn Root

The national scandal and disgrace at the VA (Department of Veterans Affairs) is the perfect example of the disaster that awaits America with ObamaCare. We're about to find out what it's like to receive health care from the government.

The VA scandal is proof that with government in charge of health care, it will bankrupt the entire country.

Countless Americans will die through bureaucratic incompetence, neglect, long waiting lists and fraud.

Just like what our veterans have already experienced.

Sadly, the VA scandal is nothing new. Conservatives have warned about the dangers of government-run health care for many years, often using the VA as Exhibit A.

My bestselling book, “The Ultimate Obama Survival Guide” was released in April of 2013. Here’s what I wrote then:

“Take Veterans Affairs. A federal appeals court has ruled the VA suffers from ‘unchecked incompetence.’ That incompetence is killing our brave veterans. I bet you didn’t know 18 veterans commit suicide per day. Or that 85,000 vets are on waiting lists for care. Even a severely depressed vet can wait eight weeks to see a psychiatrist. Still want government to run your health care?”

For those that think VA healthcare is bad, you ain't seen nothing yet. CommieCare is right around the corner. Some VA's are good, some are bad. Always been that way and it's not about to change, not as long as doctors are paid a salary and see as many, or as few patients as they feel like seeing and still get paid the same thing. And this depends on the each VISN and the internal procedures that have been put in place. Some VA directors are terrible, some are real good. The ones that appointed under democrats tend to be the worst.

Heard 20 states are suing the Government, the legislation to pass the bill should have started in the US House but it was started in the US Senate. I think this is what I heard.

A doc just told me yesterday that the VA system was the model for Obamacare.

Instead of death panels, death is determined by position of our name on an Excel spreadsheet in the computer of a bureaucrat who cannot be held accountable.

Wow, this is outrageous! I am a veteran but fortunately have not required care but it really makes me worried about any care that I could get in the future. Really, this needs to be exploited to the utmost by Congress! It’s a real shame that it has become such a problem though and neither the President nor Congress has figured it out! Damn them all!

Mr. Root is missing the point. The VA wanted those sick vets to die. The VA apparently have had death panels for a long time.

One more thing, the VA has a lot more patients now. Many are from the wars we’ve been fighting. But there are also a lot of people who have lost their insurance or can no longer afford the high premiums.

Read the British papers online. They have many horror stories of people dying by gov’t decree. The Liverpool Care Pathway is Britains death panel.

Try waiting 48 hours in an emergency room and never seeing a physician.

Did anyone bother to mention the government spends magnitudes more tax money caring, feeding, housing, and healthcare for illegal aliens?

"A doc just told me yesterday that the VA system was the model for Obamacare.:

Egggsactly......They changed up a lot at the VA immediately after Obama was elected to his first term...I watched it happen...then I fired them and have not been back since... Now I actually have no doctor at all... I do it the same way the Mexicans do it....go to the emergency room....In...out....pay.......At least that still works..

I’ve lived over 60 years and have been all over the US with the exception of NYC and a few others..

I have never seen what you describe...

If so....get the hell out of wherever you are...

Been there, done that. I went in one morning at 7 AM and was seen at 6 that night. I thought I had had a stroke, but I guess I didn’t tell them what they wanted to hear so I waited and waited and waited. I noticed a lot of older vets coming in in wheelchairs and being seen immediately. One was a good friend of mine. I asked him how in the world he was seen so fast. I asked him what was wrong was him and why was in the wheelchair. He said “oh, there ain’t nothing wrong me I just need some meds renewed and the pharmacy is closed. I come in in a wheelchair complaining of chest pains and they see me right away!”.

I’m very happy with the VA care I receive its top notch in my case. Had private insurance for awhile but got kicked off when I reached the life time cap. Insurance companies don’t want Vets on their rolls because they don’t want to pay out benefits, they want to reward shareholders..

Having experienced both systems I’d say the VA is better than the system that existed before the ACA..

The goal in my opinion is to see to it that all Vets receive the same high quality care I receive system wide.

My wife is with Kelsey Seybold. A doctor gave her a prescription for a statin. She won’t take it because it makes her legs hurt. Today someone called her and wanted to know why she hasn’t gotten the prescription filled. They keep tight tabs on people.

I go to the Spokane VA now and get real good care. Not a big VA hospital and it’s easy to get in to see a doctor and the waits are not too long.
