Will Lindsey Graham Get 50 Percent?

REPUBLICAN” VOTERS COULD NOMINATE A LIBERAL ON THE FIRST BALLOT

Liberal U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham (RINO-S.C.) has done everything within his power to alienate Republican primary voters in “conservative” South Carolina – supporting far left Supreme Court justices, backing multiple tax hikes and shamelessly shilling for the Obama administration’s domestic spying apparatus.

Among other things …

He should be toast in a GOP primary, in other words … and yet he’s not. In fact Graham may win the GOP nomination outright on June 10 after failing to draw a “big name” challenger in his most vulnerable of primary seasons.

You just gotta love “Republican” voters in the “reddest state in America,” right?

Anyway, multiple sources familiar with various internal campaign tracking polls tell us Graham is at or above the 50 percent threshold he must hit on June 10 in order to avoid a runoff election. Should Graham fail to hit 50 percent, he would square off against his top-performing GOP challenger on June 24.

That’s potentially a “danger zone” for Graham – but his massive cash advantage and the condensed two-week time frame of a runoff election both work in his favor (making it difficult for a prospective opponent to raise additional money and mobilize campaign resources). This website has argued in favor of extending the runoff period, but that’s unlikely to happen anytime soon – and it obviously isn’t going to happen during this election cycle.

In other words even if Graham draws an electable Republican in a runoff election (and as far as we can tell Charleston businesswoman Nancy Mace is the only Graham challenger fitting that description), he would still be an overwhelming favorite to win the nomination.

Crazy, isn’t it?

Unfortunately, the voters of our lovely state will send Graham back to the Senate without even a runoff. It won’t stop me from voting against him.

You all can rag on Graham all you want.
The truth is, when Paul Ryan cut veteran’s hard earned pension benefits during his Faustian “deal” with Sen Patty Murry (D-WA) last Christmas, it was only Senators Graham and Ayotte that gave a damn.

About what? Tell what I posted that was nonfactual. I don't support amnesty as he does, but that does not negate the fact that he and one or two other Senators were the ONLY ones in Washington who stood with disabled veterans (who were cut by Ryan's treachery), and military families. I can cite other politicians who are more deserving of wrath than Graham. Get over it.

I don’t believe Graham gives a damn about disabled veterans. He’s a grandstander.

Is it an “open primary”?

You know, I have been on this forum since 1998 (actually before that). I have responded to thousands of posts, I was there at the FR rally on the Washington Mall, I was there at the House Impeachment Managers Dinner at the Washington DC Hilton, and I served my country in the military. You have just as much right to believe whatever the heck you want to believe as I do, but you are not entitled to your own facts. Go and Google Graham's speeches and defense of our military, disabled military, and veterans from last December and January. He is also a Colonel in the Air Force Reserve. You? I could say you are a “grand stander.” There are bigger enemies out there than Graham. Move on.

We must boost ALL the challengers, to make sure one conservative gets into the runoff.

Then please cite them. So Graham finds a nut every once in a while...who cares? He’s an a-hole.

I served in the military too. Maybe you know the man personally. Maybe he sends you a nice Christmas card every year. Nevertheless, Graham is a dangerous man who should be removed from power. There is no Republican in the Senate with the possible exceptions of John McCain and Mitch McConnell who has been a bigger enemy to conservatives than Lindsey Graham. I’m not fooled by his phony righteous indignation.

What would you like me to cite? Do you want me to do your homework for you? You can Google the pension cuts last December, and Graham’s work to overturn them, as much as I can.

I disagree that you say his indignation of the pension cuts was “phony.” Go view any news account video and then say that. His impassioned pleas on behalf of military families was one of the most legitimate and passionate in the last decade.

Well, that’s the problem with being a phony. Nobody can tell when you’re sincere.

Nonsense. Their votes weren't needed to pass, thereby providing cover for them to proclaim that they support veterans' benefits.

It happens all the time, with both parties looking who they can "allow to dissent" on a particular piece of legislation. His voting record speaks for itself, and he should change party affiliation.

You wrote that and now you ask me what I'd like you to cite? Take a reading comprehension class.

You aren't "doing my homework for" me; YOU said YOU could cite others.

Fine. I don’t like doing that on an iPad, but when I get to my desktop I will send you direct links, articles, and videos (i.e. Your homework for you). fair enough?

Off the top of your head you can’t just cite a few Senators more worthy of wrath?

Hell, I’ll give you both of my Senators: Lamar! and Corker. Both totally useless.

On top of my head, I can cite Boxer, Reid, McConnell (who bragged how he hurt the military through Sequestration), Schumer, Lautenberg (now in Hell), Feinstein, and Booker as evil incarnate.
