Scientists: U.S. historic landmarks imperiled by climate change
CNN ^ | May 21, 2014 | By Michael Martinez

In a "wake-up call," climate change scientists contend rising seas endanger America's newest and oldest landmarks such as the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral and the first English colony at Virginia's Jamestown, portending a new century of disasters if Americans don't act.

Listing 30 at-risk sites, the Union of Concerned Scientists notes how heritage sites such as Liberty and Ellis Islands have already prepared themselves for "human-induced climate change."

But many historic treasures from Florida to Hawaii will be imperiled in the 21st century to bigger oceans and more wildfires and floods, the group asserted.

Climate “science” is not science because climate “science” does not employ the scientific method.

And “consensus” of non-scientific collectivist “scientists” is mob rule.

Change is the only constant. The Ice age happened, and went away, with no intervention by man.

It ia arrogant to suggest we can affect the climate.

Anyone who is concerned by "climate change" is welcome to sign their paycheck over to these weather phishers.

I'm sure they'll spend the money wisely...

Yes but fantasy is considered “science” by the left. You know, like a kid believing in the Easter bunny, the tooth fairy, that’s “science” to a kid. The only difference is the left threatens us to believe in their fantasies or else.

"the first English colony at Virginia's Jamestown"

LOL! The original site has been under the James River for a couple hundred years!

They actually are using the example of wildfires and heavy rains in New Mexico.

This is total bullcrap.

They use the Statue Of Liberty’s image, but they say Liberty Island already is protected.

Then they list a whole lot of BS and many locations that frankly no one cares about.

Gee, Cape Canaveral actually had some reclamation projects undone by “storm surges”. That never happened before on the coast! /s

Oh well that does it! We evil conservatives don't care that native island peoples will be drowned or myriads of species of animals forced into extinction.

However, threaten our national monuments and our historical places and finally we're ready to get on the globaloney train.

Not.

Climate "science" isn't nearly as impressive as the science of evolution.

Those worrying today about climate change should look at facts (and there are thousands to look at), and consider factual evidence such as ... "The summit of Everest is formed of rocks made in a shallow sea." Ibid ... Steve Jones' book "Darwin's Ghost," Page 252.

Looks like this scam is experiencing a dead cat bounce in the news.

Somebody needs to get the memo to these folks that this is yesterday’s news.

I’d be heartbroken if the Washington Monument were 3 degrees Celsius warmer in 100 years. Heartbroken.

You're just one of those Denier Haters who is always trying to confuse people with the facts.

Grand Canyon Imperiled. For the umpteenth day in a row, since a long, long time ago, the Grand Canyon continues to erode.

Previously there was a simple narrow stream through there, but an influx of wood-burning Indian tribes, some ... well ... it was a long, long time ago ... caused CO2 emissions that melted some ice, and hence it began to rain, and one thing led to another.

Ultimately, because the wood-burning Indians did not have the benefit of daily ecology epistles from the experts, the land bridge between Baja California and Antarctica disappeared beneath the Pacific Ocean.

Now *that* caused the level of the Pacific Ocean to sink, around South America, and then *that* completely changed things in the Arctic, where water level sank some more, exposing land, melting all the Ice Age ice, thus exposing more land masses between southern Canada and both Asia and Northern Europe.

Sure enough, word got out, that the rent was lower in this “new world.”

And the illegal immigrants came ... Indians ... who are the fore-persons of the fore-persons of the fore-persons ... and so on ... to further inhabit the Americas, increasing the numbers of wood-burning Indians.

That increased the amount of rainfall, increasing the size of the Grand Canyon, and increasing the number of problems to be “discovered” by the super-race of CLIMATOLOGISTS (privileged academics who, we guess, “rubbed out” privileged whites).

The tribe of CLIMATOLOGISTS don’t burn wood except in their comfort zones, which are either their beachhouse firepits at the [eroding] shore, or their exclusive fireplaces in their offices at Harvard and the University of California at Berkley. (None of which, you’re supposed to notice, because the environmental rules don’t apply to them. They are a government-protected and funded class. You, are not.)

Anyway, the CLIMATOLOGISTS stumbled across “erosion,” and it is the talk, how to use the taxpayers’ money to return the Grand Canyon to being a small stream.

Erosion Be Gone!

/s
