Friend, I Accept
Email | Mitch McConnell

Posted on 05/21/2014 7:08:05 PM PDT by ObamahatesPACoal

Thank you. I am humbled to once again accept your nomination to represent Kentucky in the United States Senate.

I just walked off stage, and I wanted to let you know how grateful that I am for your support. You and I both understand how important it is to take back the Senate in 2014 and fix the problems created by the big government liberal policies that have run amok. Now more than ever, anything that you are able to contribute to my campaign will help us win in November.

This is just the first step on the road to victory in November. President Obama and Harry Reid's hand-picked candidate, Alison Lundergan Grimes, has been fundraising with the top liberal donors in places like Hollywood, New York City and Chicago. She's running to do their bidding, and if we end up with her as our Senator in 2014 then this is what we can look forward to:

A continuation of the 'war on coal.'

More spending and debt.

And Obamacare will be the new norm.

And the icing on the cake: Harry Reid will retain control of the United States Senate.

Is this what you want for Kentucky and for America? I didn't think so. Please, contribute to our campaign now and help us fight back:

Accepting a leadership role accepts greater penalties for failure. Mitch has failed horribly. I can accept a weak back bencher who pulls our 90 percent of the time over a Democrat but I’ll never accept a leader who fails our cause.

I will never, in a million years settle for a democrat, especially the hard left Grimes in KY. I never cut my
ears off to spite my nose.

Voters in KY have spoken. I will settle for their choice.
I will not throw a tantrum and take my toys home. Little
spoiled boys do that.

It is pf paramount importance to take senate in 2014.
It is by far the best tool to stop the socialist community
organizer and distributor of wealth from south side of Chicago.

I merely prefer McConnell over Grimes.

Exactly my point. Mitch McConnell and the rest of the elitist establishment GOP can sh!t all over you and your liberties, but come election time they know they have your "lesser of two evils" vote. In the meantime, nothing changes except the degree leftward the country slides.

I will settle for Mitch over Grimes, who is as left wing as they come.

Same here.

I'm all for mutinies in the primaries, and we have well made some valid points; that said,

It's so critical to reconcile during the general.

Look what has happened to our national defense and our economy and our way of life. The First and Second Amendments are in jeopardy.

There are no perfect candidates or perfect office holders.

Our way of life depends on coming together for the general elections.

I have no quarrel with anyone who thinks McConnell is a lousy minority leader.

So at this point what choices do you or me have?
Root for Grimes in general? Sorry, I refuse to join that parade.

It is imperative GOP gets 51 senate seats and boot Reid from majority leader. It is the best chance to impede the community organizer’s agenda.

Very wise, mature and rational comments. Like you said, nothing in life is 100%. We have to be willing to accept what is available, not what we desire in dreams. Why do you think I married my wife hahahaha.

You're right. The winning strategy is simple, remember the Buckley Rule, plus never vote for the Democrat, and always go vote.

This message brought to you by the RINOs of the GOPe.

He’s gonna need all those voters who voted for Bevin in the general. Grimes will do an Al Franken if the final vote is under a hundred between her and Mcconnell.

Mcconnell will be stupid to continue bashing Conservative voters.

I see you have your memes and your catchphrases all ready to go....”throwing a tantrum”, “taking toys and going home”, and no doubt the line about “purity” isn’t far behind.

You can trot those out, and more, ad nauseam. I don’t give a rip. Go ahead and be the good little lapdog for liberal Republicans....Karl Rove said that people like you would ultimately vote for them, and he was right.

Meanwhile, you delude yourself that these traitors to the country are somehow an improvement over the left, even though they support amnesty, refuse to do anything about Obamacare, and lack the guts to give us any kind of principled representation.

So when the GOP officially adopts queer marriage as part of the platform, maybe you’ll still be able to convince yourself that giving them your support is somehow a “lesser” evil.

Me? I choose NO evil.

No way, unless they've repented and seen the evil of their ways.

The "RINOs of the GOPe" would never want conservatives to remember the Buckley Rule.

I'm not part of that parade. The point is we no longer have choices. Our pro-Constitutional, pro-liberty candidates get swept aside by the GOP-e and millions of voters reflexively go with either the establishment (R) or (D) candidate. But, backing an establishment candidate who has spoke against those (Ted Cruz and Mike Lee) who stridently oppose the Caliph Hussein, repeatedly insulted the conservative base of the party and eviscerates his conservative primary challenger with far more passion than his leftist opponents in the general, is nothing more than being an easliy gulled stooge.

It is imperative GOP gets 51 senate seats and boot Reid from majority leader. It is the best chance to impede the community organizer’s agenda.

The rub here is none of this may not even happen. Hussein has bypassed congress numerous times with blatant disregard to the Constitution. With the exception of two senators that I know of, the Republicans have proven to be ineffective and, even worse, too afraid to all-out oppose Hussein's reign of tyranny. Instead, they talk of working with him to get some considerations that fall from Hussein's table like so many crumbs. Furthermore, Mitch McConnell may have burned too many bridges with the conservative base to put him over the top in the general.

There are plenty of folks who will no longer gobble up the excrement the elitist GOP establishment types like McConnell dish out to their base. Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe plenty of folks like being GOP stooges.
