Climate change to result in less nutritional food, report says
Los Angeles Times ^ | May 22, 2014 | by EVAN HALPER

Climate change threatens to undermine not only how much food can be grown but also the quality of that food as altered weather patterns lead to a less desirable harvest, according to a new study.

Crops grown by many of the nation's farmers have a lower nutritional content than they once did, according to the report by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

Research indicates that higher carbon dioxide levels in the atmosphere have reduced the protein content in wheat.

The only way to change the weather is to waste taxpayer money on climate "research".

It depends on the current crisis of whether to use CC or GW.

Now, are they worried about that when their prescriptions to reduce global warming would result in less nutritious food in lesser amounts? You do away with modern agriculture that’s what you get.

What a load of road apples. If there's any crisis in food it comes from the organic agenda, the sustainability agenda, the progressive environmental agenda and the rules, regulations and taxes imposed on farmers.

I guess this is their response to carbon dioxide being plant food.

I doubt seriously that carbon dioxide is responsible for either wheat or rice being less nutritious.

But soil depletion of nutrients can be a factor. So let’s fertilize to compensate.

Our garden puts out nutritional food. It is all in the fertilizer.

Whst difference does it make now since its too late?

2007:
Chief of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC)
“If there’s no action before 2012, that’s too late.”

January 19, 2009:

“Plants and animal breeds will need to be developed to better withstand climate stresses such as higher temperatures and weather variability,”

Human beings have been doing just that since they first started farming and domesticating animals. Yes, even before Al Gore invented the internet and subsequently discovered Glowbull warming.

So let’s fertilize to compensate.

Just don't use cow manure or something like that. Cows fart and cause even more glowbull warming donchaknow.

If we don’t drown to death from the rising waters we are surely doomed to starve to death from malnutrition!

Climate change threatens to undermine....

....according to a new study.

...by the Chicago Council on Global Affairs.

..consequences of inaction could be severe.

The council has been examining the effects of climate change on food for several months as part of a project chaired by former Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman and former Rep. Doug Bereuter (R-Neb.)

Some agricultural industries are shifting north in search of cooler temperatures,

“Plants and animal breeds will need to be developed to better withstand climate stresses such as higher temperatures and weather variability,” it said.

Follow the money !!!

This is their first step in confiscating food. When I was unfortunate enough to live in the fascist city of New york, Despot Mike Bloomberg started a campaign declaring food donated to the homeless was not nutritious, because as you know, Wall street billionaires are nutrition experts. He then went ahead and confiscated food donated to the homeless because obviously it is more healthy to starve.
