Report: 308,000 Virginia voters registered in other states

RICHMOND, Va. — Some 308,000 Virginia voters are also registered elsewhere, according to an analysis of 22 states’ election records.

The finding follows Watchdog.org’s report of 44,000 people who appear to be registered in both Virginia and Maryland.

The latest survey found the 308,000 double registrations by matching names, birth dates and the last four digits of Social Security numbers.

The Virginia Voters Alliance, which reported the results, identified “big gaps” in the voter-registration process.

“Say you move to Kansas and tell the election office there that you were registered in Virginia when you submit your Kansas voter-registration form,” explained VVA president Reagan George. “If the Kansas election official is bureaucratically lazy or politically motivated your name never gets removed. The same thing can happen on the Virginia end, and you stay double registered.”

How many of the 308,000 voters cast multiple ballots in a single election is not known.

Most of them probably live in four counties. Fairfax and Arlington in Virginia, and Prince George and Montgomery in Maryland. Those “voters” can cover all four counties in the same day.

And, here is the crux of the issue: “How many of the 308,000 voters cast multiple ballots in a single election is not known.”

Voter ID would obviate this whole steaming pile of bovine excrement.

Only if you vote in both/all. Registration is another issue

After the NC report along the same lines, that one reporting actual votes cast in two different states by thousands of people with the same full date of birth and first and last names, I looked at the math involved. My first look was in error, when I came up with a very low probability of matches.

On further investigation it turns out that if you have a couple million voters in a state, it’s quite likely to have thousands of matches of birthdate, first and last name, to voters in other states, which is why I believe the North Carolina report never got traction.

I think the clear solution is to tag each voter registration with one’s Social Security number. It’s a unique number and the SS office maintains a list of current addresses, birthdays, and probably even citizenship. They also know when you’ve died.

Cross checking Social Security numbers of people voting on election day would eliminate most double voting, something that voter ID cards won’t accomplish because a person can still register in two different states. However, voter ID cards will weed out the people voting in the place of someone else who is known not to vote. Combine the two, voter ID’s and Social Security numbers, and we’ll be much more likely to have honest elections.

I previously posted that voter fraud ought to be worth 15 or 20 years in a federal penitentiary.

We are all victims of this crime. Make the penalty hurt.

Fraud has caused dems to be elected in Va. I think when Biden acted like he thought he was in NC when he was in Va and they laughed it was code that he knew some would vote in both states.

Virginia used the same voting machines that the Indiana Secretary of State decertified before the 2010 election There is a 200+ report that details the reason the machines weren’t allowed to be used in our state.
Any one from Virginia should look into it now to keep your vote pure

This is why I’ve always tried to call attention to the huge increase in absentee ballots. No way that’s not where these creeps are casting their second ballots.

Real voter fraud happens intentionally when a group votes the people who don't show up.

This whole thing about people moving and not canceling one voter registration before starting a new one is a red herring. It's bogus.

I assume this story is from a liberal source? It's democrats new meme - and it's a lie. No one cares about people moving...very few of those people will vote twice. Democrats know that... democrats also know how they do fraud... and this ain't it.

Knowing Virginia was an “in play” state, I spent a lot of time on the website, for vote results, during the 2012 election. I went out to grab a bite to eat, at 6:30 pm Pacific time (9:30pm in VA). Romney had a very healthy margin of almost 100,000 votes more than Obama. I was shocked, when I came back, 45 minutes later, refreshed the web page, and Romney was only up by about 5,000 votes. From that point, forward, I suspected the election was being stolen, right before my very eyes. This story seems to confirm my suspicions.

That would let 0bama vote multiple times.

Hey, we have it on the top dog’s authority that there isn’t a “smidgen” of election fraud goin’ on out there. Now how can it be that’s not good enough for you? Conservatives need to be thrown in jail for no more than just being Conservative, I’ve heard someone from the Left say.

I’ve changed states multiple times. I don’t recall any state asking where I was previously registered. Is that common practice?
