‘Tea Party Lawyer' Behind Attacks Against Texas Tea Party AG Candidate

LUBBOCK, Texas—Dan Backer, the D.C. area attorney widely known for his work with TheTeaParty.net, has come forward as the one responsible for attacking Texas Attorney General candidate State Senator Ken Paxton in a massive half-million dollar Texas ad-buy. Ken Paxton is the Tea Party candidate who Senator Ted Cruz proudly honored. A media professional who works with TheTeaParty.net told Breitbart Texas that the group has no part in what their attorney is doing.

Paxton’s opponent, the clear beneficiary of Backer’s ads, is Texas State Rep. Dan Branch. Branch is a former AFL-CIO union group lobbyist who previously introduced an amendment to a bill that could have expanded the medical authority of abortionists to broaden the use of late-term abortions in Texas. The radical pro-abortion group NARAL was supportive of Dan Branch and what they called his "pro-choice vote."

Chuck Lindell of The Austin-American Statesman wrote on Backer introducing money into Texas politics from Virginia, “A Virginia nonprofit has poured more than a half-million dollars into a new TV ad that sharply criticizes Texas attorney general candidate Ken Paxton for taking ‘kickbacks’ that led to a recent reprimand from Texas securities regulators.” The kickbacks referred to here were actually referral fees of less than $5,000 per year on average, according to Anthony Holm, Paxton’s campaign spokesman. Holm spoke with Breitbart Texas on the matter.

The Statesman also wrote, “Airing in the closing days of the Republican runoff campaign in at least seven markets, including Austin, the 30-second spot was created by American Dream Initiative, a relatively new organization that advocates for ‘small, efficient government that is honorable and ethical and not overreaching,’ Chairman Dan Backer said Thursday.”

If this turns out to be true, then that is really bad action by this group. If not, this this is just another attempt to destroy the Tea Party. Withholding opinion until all is uncovered - probably just a desperate candidate if true.

I would imagine that the media is gung ho in finding out the answers for this one...can’t wait.

You are proving my point about The TeaParty.Net being a bad group. I thought they would be better, but you can tell they are bad because even Rusty Humphries, talk show host, who was working with them quit and formed his own group The Tea Party Leadership Fund. He isn’t explaining much about it.

I mean Rusty is not explaining why he left The TeaParty.Net after one year with them. I would guess, as I suspected, that he disagreed on endorsements. Rusty wanted to do endorse who he saw fit. So far, his group was focused on certain races and was not able to weight in on much. He just started it in January.

Looks like there is a “tea party” group worse than Tea Party Express, “TheTeaParty.net. One of their key players is backing for AG, State Rep. Dan Branch, who sounds like he might just be a RINO.

Dennis “Gomer” Pyle must be a stalking hirse in cahoots with Pat Roberts to try to confuse conservatives to split the votes that should be concentrated in The Great One II, Dr. Milton Wolf. Why, that Pyle has served in the state legislature and has an actual record to support his conservative platform—we want unproven conservatives who have never even voted before. And Pyle isn’t even related to Barack Obama; how would his victory “embarrass” the President? And does Pyle even have a medical degree? No, sir, send GOPe Gomer back to Topeka and support Dr. Milton Wolf for the Senate. Is Wolf actually conservative? Will he be an effective legislator? Well, we’ll have six years to find out. Why vote for someone with a proven conservative record when one can vote for a complete unknown like Milton Wolf?

Shazam, shazam, shazam! Dennis Pyle decided not to file for the Senate in KS. He probably got scared off by the Wolf (Dr. Milton, that is). Perhaps Pyle previously was not aware that Dr. Wolf is President Obama’s cousin, and that it would cause great embarrassment to the President if his “conservative cousin” was elected to the Senate. That must have been it.

I could have saved Pyle the trouble, there was no way Wolf was gonna step aside for him because Wolf doesn’t care about “the cause” of replacing Roberts with “someone more conservative” (what a pant load, the only real issue with Roberts is his age, not his conservatism) he cares about his egotistical fantasy about getting elected to the Senate with a campaign made out of bubblegum.

If his real aim was to help Roberts (or assume us) by ridiculing Wolf, then I salute him.

You should see the Illinois Tea Party groups who went into orgasmic spasms back in 2010 when Adam Andrejewski showed up out of nowhere and told them what they wanted to hear in his campaign for Governor. Sure, there were two other candidates in the GOP primary who spent over a decade promoting conservative values, but who needs them when a guy showed up yesterday and screamed "ANTI-ESTABLISHMENT!!!!!!!" the loudest?

It endorses a lot of Paulbot losers and other lousy candidates and it turns out one of it’s founders is a wishy washy on illegal immigration just like all the evil GOPE monsters.
