Obama blames Founding Fathers

Can you imagine an Obama constitution? It would include the bill of government requirements. Check it out:

President Obama is taking a swipe at the Founding Fathers, blaming his inability to move his agenda on the “disadvantage” of having each state represented equally in the Senate.

At a Democratic fundraiser in Chicago Thursday night, Mr. Obama told a small group of wealthy supporters that there are several hurdles to keeping Democrats in control of the Senate and recapturing the House. One of those problems, he said, is the apportionment of two Senate seats to each state regardless of population.

“Obviously, the nature of the Senate means that California has the same number of Senate seats as Wyoming. That puts us at a disadvantage,” Mr. Obama said.

The Founding Fathers decided in the “Great Compromise” in 1787 to apportion House seats based on population and give each state two seats in the Senate regardless of population. The solution was a compromise between large states and small states in a dispute that nearly dissolved the Constitutional Convention.

I’m not surprised to hear this from an illegal alien and a muslim to boot. He’s unaware of our American history and grossly incompetent on top of that.

He and his playmates will never understand what our country stands for, so it’s too bad they just don’t get the hell out of our country and go to a paradise like Kenya.

The leftist Democrat way of thinking is to deceive the ignorant, foolish ones into voting themselves into slavery. Upon finding that the original design of government per our founding fathers was to try and prevent some of that to a degree, they now want to change the rules.

I heard part of his speech was talking about how the American people have rejected the Republicans.

Yet as you point out, the GOP controls the House.

And the GOP controls a majority of state legislatures, and a majority of state governorships too.

He’s just demagoging again.

This "constitutional scholar" has obviously never read The Federalist Papers

, because then he might understand why the government is divided up the way it is instead of placing all the power into the hands of a wanna-be tyrant like him.

Granted, the 17th amendment changed the Senate in a fundamental way, but that is another story.

The “Democrat” way, ginning up crowds then making like that’s an actual fair plebiscite or something.

Maybe Republicans should learn how to gin up crowds too, though not at the gutter level.

Which is why the Kenyan nationalist socialist criminal hostage taking of the government must end by any means necessary. They have stole everything: freedom, hope, all civil rights. There is no more constitution and no more republic. Nazi Germany had more liberty and killed fewer souls.

And yet... even with that loss of Senate buffering (which old way had its own pitfalls and scandal) a principle remains. A state had a peculiar dignity of its own. It wasn’t just a quaintness to be observed on travel vacations... oh look! Kentucky! Oklahoma! Oregon! (or whatever).

This is being collectivized into a colorless mush.

No wonder country (and I believe, redneck) is a widely treasured thing. It fights the collectivization and insists on being incorrigibly local.

And this probably isn’t his idea. He’s not smart enough to think of it. More likely some Alinsky-ite staffer.

“Poor baby Barack. Did you ever stop to think that, if You and your party spoke to issues supported by big numbers of people, that your agenda would get through Congress easily? That if you weren’t trying to force a liberal agenda, that you might have different results???”

Once he had the senate and the house. He got what he
wanted. Now he’s fixing to loose all that he had left.
If he looses Obamacare while he’s still in office he gets
knocked back down to poverty pimp with Sharpton and Jackson
instead of single-payer pimp when he leaves office.
And lord help him if the senate republicans get enough of
a majority that he could get impeached. Not that they would
have the balls to do it but just the threat alone and all
his cronies getting called in to testify would make his
life a little less worth living, I hope.

"Can you imagine an Obama constitution? "

It would probably resemble the 2,000-page European Union monstrosity.

I agree. And the closer one gets to a large population center, the less so.

Maybe if the Holocaust carnage were compared to the abortion toll, it would be an uneasy lesson.

Barack Obama and the Democrats have played it masterfully, if to an evil master.

Pass an absolutely Draconian law that if really followed would bring down the wrath of America at large, and then “graciously” play Calvinball with it.

I pray that the Lord will let America get sick and tired of this game of amateur emperor.

Cities despise rednecks... yet they bring in rednecks to build their infrastructure that they then laze around in.

“Obviously, the nature of the Senate means that California has the same number of Senate seats as Wyoming. That puts us at a disadvantage,” Mr. Obama said.

The idiot cannot put two cogent thoughts together. His own party controls the Senate, with Harry ruling with an iron fist. Surely, Obama's NSA/FBI/CIA have enough goods on Dirty Harry to get whatever legislation they want, brought to the floor for a vote.

“Cities despise rednecks... yet they bring in rednecks to build their infrastructure that they then laze around in.”

When Obama says, “You didn't build it” HE is full of CRAP!

He is implying that BigGov did roads, airports and infrastructure that made it possible for all us private dweebs to create our restaurants and computer companies.

He omits this fact...I have never seen a BigGov bureaucrat pick up a shovel and do anything REAL.

The roads, the bridges, the infrastructure were constructed by strong hard working American men, mostly working for private companies.

BigGov was just the middle man, confiscating a portion of wealth created by private citizens, then siphoning off a sizable share for themselves before commissioning the Strong Hard Working American Men to actually do the building.

So Obama you SUCK! You are Wrong! We did Build it!

You're the ONE who never built anything meaningful in your life.

You are not a builder...You OBAMA are a DESTROYER!

Obama’s constitution would all be about the rights of the king and the obligations of his subjects.

He's complaining that the structure of the Senate -- which is controlled by DEMOCRATS -- is an impediment to his agenda.

Well, I think he's complaining about the Senate after the November election. He knows full well that Democrats are very likely to lose control of the Senate, and he's setting up his story now.
