UKIP appears to be on course to top the poll in the European elections, with the first results starting to come in.....

I think UKIP is a symptom, not a driver. A symptom of a growing loss of faith in the elite/establishment. If they can capitalize on that, God Bless 'em. Someone WILL capitalize on it.
If the Tories lose it is their own fault
The Tories have no one to blame but themselves as they struggle to claim they share the same concerns as UKIP.
The Home Secretary, who oversees immigration, Theresa May was trying to convince people on television during a Sunday interview show that she has a target level of 100-thousand per year, but admitted it was becoming “more difficult”.
The truth is that 212,000 people by official estimate are coming into the UK last year. Many average blokes think a lot more are in the country than the official figures say.
United Kingdom Independence Party....independence from the European Union rules, regulations, currency etc. etc. etc.
UKIP’s rise makes me wish that the instant runoff voting referendum had passed.
UKIP could come in third in the popular vote and win very few or even possibly zero seats while Labour gets a paltry first place finish but a goodly majority of seats.

Well see what happens.
Good news for these EU elections though, UKIP even got a seat in Scotland. The numbers I’m seeing show +10 UKIP seats plus Labour gaining and the Tories losing 7 seats respectively. Lib Dems lost almost all their seats. LOL. Some are calling for Nick Clegg’s head for leading his party to ruin.
No, I don’t think so, she said “as a NYer” and mentioned “The Week in Review” section. And I’m pretty sure the London Times had coverage of the elections there. It’s not quite that bad yet, I don’t think.
It does look bleak for LDP
Heh
Thanks for the link.
I doubt the seat count will change much for Conservatives or labour , but the next coalition may well be with UKiP.
Well my vote is probably ukip, as I can’t stand the sight of Cameron, or his love of the eu.
Let’s pray Labour don’t obtain a majority. ..we cannot afford those fools in power again.
The sad thing is they are being honest. To them, trans sexual politics really are a hot issue and by discussing it fully they really do believe they are addressing the concerns and opinions of the culture. Actually they are...its just that their culture consists of the same people who live where they do, think like they do, and were educated in the same way and at the same establishments they were.
In fact, for the overwhelming majority of people the intricacies of "trans sexual politics" are, at best, a side issue - even amongst those who support the NYT's liberal contensions. Most people are more worried about the economy, unemployment, the supplanting of cultural norms, rampant illegal immigration, or the erosion of freedom. But those who dare to raise those concerns are simply dismissed as "racists", "homophobes", "religious fanatics" and so on. Well in a democracy you simply cannot dismiss the legitimate concerns of the majority in such an offhand way. If you do, eventually people will begin to revolt against not only the elite, but the very political process itself.
That is exactly what has happened in Britain with UKIP. Its not just disgust with Europe, as the elites are already posturing. It's a reaction to a widespread and endemic democratic deficiency. Politicians on both sides of the pond have steadily become one step removed from the issues. Increasingly they do not listen to "we the people". They listen to people who claim to speak for "we the people". Thinktanks. Lobbyists. Union reps. Pressure groups like ACORN, or the NAACP, or indeed even the NRA. It doesn't matter if you happen to agree with the stances of any of those organisations, it must surely be true that none of them should be the ones calling the shots. We the people should be doing that.
UKIP's success is largely based on bypassing all those intermediaries and appealing directly to the people. There will be a rich political reward for any American politician who is prepared, and able to do the same.
As for UKIP, they are blessed in having a spokesman/leader that is truly able to express himself unfiltered and who walks and talks like a lot of the silent majority. However, what they desperately need is a full bench or even the nucleus of one to lock in their gains.
They will be fought tooth and nail by the establishment who are married to the idea of violent “Asian” immigrants.
Of course they will. They have been called racists, loonies etc.
That did not work.
UKIP’s success will draw more true Brits to their party, which in turn
will help them gain more power.
And unlike our Tea Party, which is a collection of like minded individuals,
UKIP is an actual party in addition to like minded individuals.
He also seems to enjoy a good pint of English beer.
Polling shows Clegg would lose his own seat (to Labour with the Tories beating him for 2nd place) if the election were today.

Well I guess since he's Deputy prime minister, its not as fun as the Prime Minister losing his own seat. Hope it happens, though.
I’ll second that ,Mr Vanders.
Excellent appraisal of the truth. :)
Thank you!
