Amen to that. It’s like Rush says - it doesn’t take any guts to be a liberal. Just a lot of someone else’s money.
The former “activists” of the ‘60s and ‘70s who have been in power of late are retiring or dying off, taking their unrealistic and harmful “agendas” with them. The new generation coming into power is much more pragmatic and reality-based. I think we’ll see this transition happening everywhere in the Western world, including here.
We’re talking about the elections for the EU Parliament, where the Right has won big.

Have we been living ALL these years in the shadow of Vietnam? Just astounding to think that zero (who I think has dam few original ideas), obamacare, all the left wing tripe, the trillions of dollars wasted, is really rooted in rebellion against Viet Nam.
Not just Vietnam, but that was part of it. Actually, I think it’s rooted in their “rebellion” against their parents and the “establishment” of the time. They embraced communism, drug use and abuse, radical environmentalism and other extremist philosophies they thought would “stick it to The Man.” Now, seeing their influence declining, we watch them getting more hysterical by the day, realizing that the time they have for doing the “sticking” is growing very short. And their biggest fear late in life may well be that their parents might have been right after all — something they would never admit to in a million years.
They still have a Muslim problem to address.When they resolve that,I’ll have hope for them.
They will have to admit that their parents were right all along and embrace their parent’s values,otherwise they are just human debris.
And as with everything in this society, the media did their bit back then by glamorizing and glorifying that “rebellion.” “Hey, all the cool kids are leaving home and protesting and getting high and sticking it to The Man! Don’t YOU want to be one of the cool kids?”
I think one of their problems is now they’re “the man”.
obama frequently speaks as though he hasn’t been POTUS for since Jan 2009 - trying to blame others for the things he promised to fix. It’s absurd.
Elections sometimes are similar to “tacking” when sailing.
You go this way, then you go that way, but all the while you’re heading the same direction.
Sometimes you need to take bearings and rep lot the course.
