Authorities said that Javier and his friend, who was not identified, were walking in the vicinity of East 189th Street and Arthur Avenue in the west Bronx when they saw the 49-year-old man and asked for a cigarette. The man later told investigators that when he refused and turned to walk away, one of the boys punched him in the head and another hit him with a backpack before running off. He suffered minor injuries. Then, officials and witnesses said, the sergeant grabbed Javier and pushed him hard against the window of the hookah store, shattering the glass and badly cutting Javier’s head and body.

There was a time when police knew when to use force and when not to. Unfortunately, today leaving that punk alone would have made no difference whatever to the epidemic of police thuggery against law abiding citizens or their increasing disregard for the 4th Amendment. If it would, you might have a point. But it doesn’t, so you don’t.

Melanin trumps all. This kid’s lucky he was where he was and not another hoodie wearing thug lying dead after beating an innocent person. So sick of this crap. Too few black people look at what is going on and why they, as a group, are looked at with suspicion.

excellent reply.
I would've "caned (50)" and "stocks" the feral,
then ordered restitution paid to the 49er.

IF (the rev.) objects, jailed & fine 'em, (disturbing the peace)
, IF he objects again; THEN administer the "caning/stocks"
to (the rev.) and drive him out of town.
the City Gov't can sell tickets to the events.

He didn’t get “thrown through a window.” He got shoved against a window that then shattered.

As mentioned elsewhere, obviously it was substandard window. Maybe the Hookah place will be sued together with NYPD.

It is high time that Holder’s people, Obama’s sons, get the message...do shit and you might die. And it is high time for someone of these Holder people type to ‘assault’ the NOT Rev Sharpton. He is just another spade.

The reason there is an epidemic of police thuggery is because they’ve been excused for doing it against criminals for so long.

Abuse and rights violations are like a cancerous tumor on the body politic. If you don’t cut the tumor out, it grows and spreads and consumes the body.

The fact that you can’t see that allowing the abuse of criminals leads to the abuse of non criminals makes you a sheep.

Nope, police used mild forms of street justice for generations without any appreciable spill over. The problem today has to do with other factors, including the spread of a liberal/totalitarian mindset.
