Boko Haram Kills 20 Villagers For Failing To Provide N250,000
Leadership (Abuja) ^ | May 26, 2014 | Kareem Haruna

Posted on 05/26/2014 1:47:20 PM PDT by nickcarraway

Gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members have killed about 20 residents of Kamuya village in Biu local government area of Borno State for allegedly failing to provide N250,000 to support their ‘crusade’, eyewitnesses have said.

The sect members were said to have asked the villagers about two months ago to raise the said N250,000 in support of what they called “the work of God’ or risk being attacked.

LEADERSHIP gathered from impeccable sources that the gunmen, who approached the village head and directed him to begin the collection of the illegal tax from his subjects, later became angry when they found out that the poor villagers were able to gather only N70,000.

To execute their earlier their threat, the gunmen yesterday staged a deadly raid on the villagers by attacking the villagers while observing their weekly market in Kamuyya village and reportedly shooting dead 20 persons and injuring several others.

A resident of Kamuyya, Abubakar Umar, who spoke to journalists on phone, said: “When they issued such threat, we all took it lightly; everyone was relaxed and nobody bothered to make any extra effort to ensure that we raised the amount beyond what we could raise, which is about N70, 000. Maybe that was what ignited this bloody attack because we were unable to meet their demand”.

The villagers said the gunmen who attacked to them came in the day time and began to shoot at the traders in the market for nearly five hours.

Umar further said, “They continued to shoot their guns for over a period and throughout that period which was over five hours and there was no single security personnel to confront the invaders. They snatched several vehicles and loaded them with bags of assorted foodstuffs , before leaving the town in the evening. They destroyed everything we had, they carted away our foodstuffs and burnt down the remaining ones.”

Nigerian Military On Kidnapped School Girls: 'We know where they are, but we cannot tell you'

Tim Cocks, Reuters
May 26, 2014, 4:43 PM

Nigeria's military knows where the more than 200 girls abducted by Boko Haram are but has ruled out using force to rescue them, the state news agency quoted Chief of Defence Staff Air Marshal Alex Badeh as saying on Monday.

Seven weeks since Boko Haram militants abducted more than 200 girls taking exams in a secondary school in the remote northeastern village of Chibok and little is known of their whereabouts or what exactly the military is doing to get them out.

"The good news for the parents of the girls is that we know where they are, but we cannot tell you," Badeh was quoted as saying. "But where they are held, can we go there with force? We can't kill our girls in the name of trying to get them back."

Most officials think any raid to rescue them would be fraught with danger and probably not worth the risk that the girls would be killed by their captors - an Islamist group that has shown a degree of ruthlessness in killing civilians.

That's the sad reality. If troops go in, these lunatics will probably use those girls as human shields. The best chance for them would've been if someone had the instincts to immediately find those girls. Now, the best chance might be with vigilence as these girls are integrated into their horrible lives (sad but true)

Does the US consider Nigeria a "friendly" government? Because it sure doesn't seem like they're doing much if anything to stop these terrorist actions.

Mosin Nagant M91/30 Rifles by the Crate

20 Rifles per crate for only $2520 ($126.00 per rifle) + shipping

http://www.surplusammo.com/7-62x54r-light-ball-russian-880-rounds-in-2-sealed-spam-cans/ Price: $199.99 for 880 rounds

20 rifles with 44 rounds per rifle is $2720, only a little more than the terrorists demanded. When you’re done, you still have the rifles. That’s a whole lot better than complaining: “there was no single security personnel to confront the invaders”.

The more I learn about Islam and Sharia law the more certain I become that the “other guy” is in charge of that whole operation.

Where is U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Samantha Power?

Her ‘fame’ came from selling genocide that never existed. Here we have real genocide and I am not hearing from this clown.

Samantha pushed for Clinton to drop bombs in the Balkans because of genocide. This exposes her lies.

Go to 3:30 mark of this video. It takes about a minute to get to the exaggerations used to get us involved.

As a side note, he mentions they fabricated a video to get us further involved. I guess this is where Hillary learned how to cover up Benghazi?

I hope Boko Haram never figures out how to set up a Bureaucracy.

I’m sure the EPA, OSHA and other regulatory fees and taxes for these merchants would far exceed what was being demanded here.

I read a few days ago about a Boko unit being wiped-out by some Nigerian “vigilantes.” Vigilantes are better than nothing, but armed and trained militia (kinda like our National Guard) would be even better.
