...don’t even see any shooting stands or area for shooting marked out.
**************************
For many years, me and a few hunting friends would drive to the LBJ National Grasslands in North Central TX and take all of our guns. Usually we did this before dove, deer and duck seasons.

We had a favorite spot with a creek and pond 150 feet below and the back of a large earthen dam about 150 yards away. Took hand throwers and clay pigeons for practice with the shotguns. Set small targets on the dam and below along the creek and pond, just to plink, adjust scopes, etc., with .22s, .30-.30s, and handguns. .........All legal.

“They want the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to ban shooting on all public land in Columbia County”.....

If they banned shooting on all public lands in the county I live in, they might as well close it down completely. 1/3 of our entire county is considered “public land” (if you include the massive Federal lands).
