When I was in school back in 1952-1964, all the meals were excellent EXCEPT those at Aztec, NM. Kids were constantly throwing it back up on their trays.

That slop was so bad even Micehlle’s would have been an improvement.

Ir was so bad it is still burned in my memory after 58 years. I had mom make me a lunch after I also threw that slop back up on my tray.

Absolute best was Denver Co.

I had the same experience in 1st and 2nd grade. I attended a two room schoolhouse, and my grandmother was the cook.

Oh the smells that could come up from the cellar. Baked ham, with real mashed potatoes, stewed tomatoes to go over it, with home made biscuits. For desert cinnamon buns
