On Tuesday, the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that Florida’s law restricting death row prisoners from trying to prove they are mentally impared is unconstitutional. Florida’s law mandates that prisoners must have an IQ of less than 70 “before being permitted to present any additional evidence of intellectual disability.” Justice Anthony Kennedy delivered the opinion, arguing Florida’s law violates the Eighth Amendment prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment. “This rigid rule creates an unacceptable risks that persons with intellectual disability will be executed, and thus is unconstitutional.”

Death penalties are not cruel or unusual punishments in the least. Hanging, shooting, or guillotining are all good methods and that it hurts doesn’t matter. We’re putting you to death.

You saved me a considerable amount of time rereading the Constitution to find where it states persons with intellectual disabilities may not be executed. That would be a profound insult to the millions of mentally disabled persons who never kill anyone.
I won't even attempt to comment how judicial activism and a couple of hundred years of legislatures making a mess of the Constitution by passing tens of thousands of laws that are contradictory, and no one could possibly understand, affect the normal citizen's understanding of and respect for the law...
One can be stupid and evil. Look at the imbecile Charles Manson, who has defiled this earth by the decades he has gone on illegitimately living.
This gives an incentive to young thugs, to deliberately "game" any IQ tests they are given, in order to save themselves from any future execution.
If you have a bad dog, one with impaired judgement, what do you do with it?
Whatever merit you deserve for your comments, my statement was not at all meant to be taken literally. I was merely taking a diametric-polar opposite point of view on what was said to sarcastic extreme.
