A teacher told attendees at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics Monday night that he helped write the controversial Common Core education standards to end white privilege. Dr. David Pook, a professor at Granite State College and chair of the History department at The Derryfield School in Manchester, New Hampshire, argued in favor of Common Core.
“The reason why I helped write the standards and the reason why I am here today is that as a white male in society I am given a lot of privilege that I didn't earn.” Ironically, the $28,535 per year Derryfield School that Dr. Pook teaches at considers the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) inferior and does not use them on the student body that is 91% white. I wish that wouldn’t completely escape so many people. I was flipping across some channels on the radio over the weekend trying to find something that was not sports. Came across one of the talk radio stations with some syndicated hack prattling on with “we’re not the racists..THEY are the real racists!” and I just wanted to scream “SHUT THE F*** UP!” The reactions from these fools are exactly what the race baiters want. There is no engaging them. There is no winning in that game, there are only degrees of losing.
Actually, calling them out for what they are could be effective in some intellectual salons. But, you and I don’t generally inhabit such places. We’re commoners, and frankly I enjoy my station as such.
Definition of a classic show. I crack up every time I think of that episode. Soup Nazi, Kramer golfing by the ocean, the bet. Just mention one gag and it brings back the whole episode.

Deny them the fuel for their fire and the truth quickly points to itself. Anyone engaging them on this is on any level is strengthening them. Ignore them and it will fade away like a bad fart.
