The Left Doesn't Really Believe in Climate Change

The sky is always falling. If the new ice age doesn’t do us in, the ozone hole will. The instant DDT is banned, aerosols must follow. Global warming is replaced by climate change is replaced by “global weirding.”

And what is the solution to these often-contradictory scenarios? We anachronists who retain a bias toward the hard sciences would employ very different measures to prevent a freezing ocean and a boiling one. To an engineer, soldier or plumber, this is obvious.

But how do leaders of the environmental left address these opposing doomsdays? By raising taxes, increasing government, impeding capitalism and reducing national sovereignty. Coincidentally, the same policies they would promote if their supposed environmental catastrophe was utter fiction. It is little wonder that voters are suspicious...

Long before Friedman co-opted “Climate Weirding” It was used on a Climate Depot article.
In the article it compared Climate Change predictions and their adherents to the witches and their visions of Doom and Gloom in Macbeth, and not based on sound science.

After a liberal told me that I need to read some “alternative history” for the truth yesterday, I don’t think they know what they believe till someone tells them.

LOL, probably Howard Zinn's crapola. You can now tell him you know someone who actually had Howard Zinn as a professor (me), and that the man used to come to class stoned, and took advantage of every coed he could in exchange for grade inflation (Does this mean Howard Zinn started the war on women? No doubt.......).

When the man was challenged by a relatively smart student, he folded like a cheap tent, couldn't argue his way out of a paper bag.

He was alternative all right.

Either Gore is a total idiot who doesn’t realize that his mansion is going to be inundated

I told the liberal that I’ve been re reading my way through all of the Edgar Rice Burroughs science fiction stories but that doesn’t make them any more real than this “alternative history” crap.

Alternative history has been around forever. You can find it in the fiction section of any library.

Unfortunately, Zinn is in the history section now, taught fairly widely as a matter of fact.

I love to shock liberals with my first person story of what he was really like. They think of him as some sainted intellectual who was telling the truth, rather than the Marxist liar he was.

OK!! Everybody pay attention!

Lesson for today:

1. The sun is 1,300,000 times as big as the earth.

2. The sun is a ball of fire that controls the climates of all its planets.

3. The earth is one of the sun’s planets.

4. The earth is a speck in comparison to the size of the sun.

5. Inhabitants of the earth are less than specks.

Study Question: How do less-than-specks in congress plan to control the sun?

The left basically adopted the methodology of religious cults and applied it to politics. Think about it:

- They both defer to an inner circle of intellectuals to make the important decisions and define their opinions for them
- They both teach their followers that they can’t trust any sources of news or information from outside “the group”
- They both draw a hard line between group members and outsiders, and try to discourage having interaction or relationships with outsiders

Environmentalism is a religion to useful idiot leftists. Their religion is the environment, their savior is government, their sacrament is aborted fetuses. They have blind devotion to government. They are a sick bunch of malcontents.
