Because the environazis agree with their hero Paul Ehrlich:

“Giving society cheap abundant energy is like giving an idiot child a machine gun.”

Some people = leftists.
Despite the abundant evidence to the contrary, not all leftists are morons, yet all leftists will not hesitate to support positions that defy logic and make themselves appear to be stupid if it supports their ideology.
Liberalism IS a mental disorder.
What's the use of being a liberal if you can't lie, cheat, and steal?

Obama should be down on his knees thanking God for the great people of Texas and the Republican governors of other states. Without them, he would have a second Great Depression as his legacy.

I know kids who just graduated from high school making well over $100k (mostly hispanic, deep south TX). There are no minimum wage jobs. Even the pizza delivery drivers make $16/hour. My nephew had to close his powder coating business in Midland because his $25/hr workers headed for the oil patch, and he couldn’t find anyone to take their place. I have a hard time keeping technicians, as they make contacts and move on to higher paying jobs (I can’t raise wages because prices are limited by contractural obligations). A blessing and a curse.

Hah! He’s trying his feckless best to destroy America. Why would he thank those preventing his successful completion of the task?

But some still refuse to acknowledge the Texas Miracle.

By "some" he means the Men Seeking Men media.

But nobody is paying attention to them anymore anyway.

Because the hallmark of liberalism/progressivism is a human failing known as Magic Thinking, liberals are easily herded using lies and fraud. Witness the phenomenon called anthropogenic global warming ... magic thinking allows a liberal mind to see what is not there and hold two opposite data sets as equally true. Even as the polar ice grows, the liberal is told it is shrinking, so as they look at the data they see what they are herded to see, a lie, a fraudulent basis for a magical outcome.

>>Texas Is Booming With New Jobs and ‘Dirt Cheap’ Energy<<

Yes, Texas is booming with new jobs, but dirt cheap energy?

I don't think so. Gasoline still above $3.35 a gallon for regular, electricity and propane rates have gone up.

If we're enjoying dirt cheap energy, I'd hate to think what the rest of the nation is paying.

Just an aside to this. Auto insurance rates up, health insurance premiums up, property taxes up, state reg. fees/inspection fees are up, food prices skyrocketing...wages stagnant for the last few years.

Despite the job picture in Texas, corporations are bringing in hoards of foreign workers and hiring for positions at reduced wages. Not as rosy as one might think.

Never happen. Liberal, especially east coast/west coast liberals, hate Texas and Texans. Btw, it’s ok with me, no love lost here for them by me :)

I just paid $3.89/gallon for regular yesterday, and that was DOWN .10/gallon from just a couple of weeks ago. I'd hate to see what the price is in the Bay Area...

Yes. Magical thinking is one of the hallmarks of the personality-disordered, as is black-and-white thinking.

Liberalism is Narcissism; Narcissistic Personality Disorder.
Who else could look upon the destruction they wreak, and pronounce their policies a success? (I give you Detroit for an example - pick one of your choosing, it’s not that difficult, rather like shooting fish in a barrel actually).

"Magical Thinking", a term so perfectly applicable to the utopian statists that I wonder why I am only now aware of it.
Thanks, FRiends.

I wrote down what I was paying just before Obozo took office. These prices are with my Kroger discount, so 3 to 10 cents higher without. Northern suburb of Houston, Tx.
>12/6/2008...$1.41 per gallon
>12/15/2008...$1.29 per gallon
>1/03/2009...$1.24 per gallon

Over the last 5 1/2 years, gasoline has gone up two and a half to three times in price under this idiot in the white house.

The title assumes that the “naysayers” view a growing economy and jobs the same way that we do.

Bad ASSumption.
