Speaker of the House Robert DeLeo today unveiled sweeping legislation he said will give the Bay State the most effective gun laws in the country in a long-awaited roll-out spurred by the horrific Newtown school shootings 18 months ago.
The bill, called the states most comprehensive since 1998 by House leaders, adds the state to a nationwide criminal background database and, for the first time, allows local police chiefs discretion in licensing owners for shotguns and rifles. The legislation also bans the private sale of guns without a licensed gun dealer and requires gun owners to list all the guns they own each time they renew their license.

Or the problem with inner city black on black violence.
Massachusetts - your forebears at Bunker (Breed’s) Hill, Lexington and Concord would not recognize what you’ve become with the lowlife’s you’ve elected. Somebody notify the Brits that Massachusetts will shortly be available for the taking...
Assachusetts..formerly the Cradle of Liberty is now the Cradle of Fascism.
Just look at the picture, it has stupid written all over it. De Leo will be the fourth consecutive House Speakah to be indicted, just watch.
I wouldn't even violate the AIRSPACE of the Communist Northeast Republic.
My gun license will be signed by a Ticonderoga N0.22 pencil filled with lead.
What’s been going through my mind since 2008 and the continual explosion in the number of unemployed in this country is the words of some internet doomsayer (clemente or something) that I do think nails a certain facet of what may happen any day in large numbers:
“When people lose everything and have nothing left to lose, they lose it.”
This happens to a certain number of people every year, but when it’s happening to a major part of the population, well, eventually it will hit critical mass. If the government had tried to pull a Waco in New Mexico, I believe we would have had that critical mass. I think they did too, which is why they backed off.
But make no mistake, the country is a powderkeg. but not as much as it will be tomorrow, or the next day, etc.
I expect our Massachisettes cousins to “REFUSE TO COMPLY” like Connecticut and New York state Patriots did
You underestimate the ability of a flexible hermaphrodite.
Requiring a license to own a firearm is not only unreasonable — it is unconstitutional.
Will anything in this legislation or any other legislation prevent what happened the other day or in Connecticut or in Colorado? Then what’s the sense?
