Californians buying guns from out-of-state sources would have to go through the same steps required for in-state purchases under a bill passed Wednesday by the state Assembly.
AB1609 advanced to the Senate on a 48-23 party-line vote.

The bill would require that firearms imported from other states must be sent to a California dealer who would then run the required state checks on the buyers to make sure they comply with state rules.

Living here in Texas, I say HAVE AT IT!! - we don’t mind the brainpower coming here (and yes, there is [was] a lot of brainpower in California). And no, we’re not Montana, you cannot send enough gun-owning liberals here, as we have 25 Million people, and the vast majority Californians chased out by gun laws are not going to have anything to do with voting Democrat, anyway.
