The Washington Examiner reports that Thad Cochran hosts fundraisers for Democrats in his home.
Well . . . they report it slightly differently. The Washington Examiner reports that Cochran’s executive assistant, Kay Webber, hosts fundraisers in her home and Thad Cochran rents a basement apartment there.
But there is no basement apartment in Kay Webber’s home available for rent. That’s according to the District of Columbia database where these things can be tracked.
If Thad Cochran is renting from Kay Webber, as opposed to living in her house, then he and she have a bit of a problem with the District of Columbia.
Otherwise, they have this other problem. Thad Cochran is living in a house where Democrats are holding fundraisers held by Cochran’s own executive assistant.
By the way, how does the Executive Assistant to a United States Senator afford a multimillion dollar home on a congressional staffer’s salary? I assume not this way.

Cochran was a great senator at one time, back in the Reagan years. He was as automatic a vote for the movement as Jesse Helms. So was Orrin Hatch, another sellout.
Now he’s a symptom of the Republican cancer, and he needs to go.

Knowing how Nazi zoning boards are in big cities It’s amazing to me that this went on. Then again, ‘speshul’ people can do ‘speshul’ things.
If I’d try to sublet a basement apartment without the necessary permits and inspections I’d have been shut down with malice aforethought.
Also..if he was paying her "rent"..then Thad would have cancelled checks and/or bank record to substantiate it..also, she should have reported it on her tax form as income..drumroll, please...ta da!!!
While Thad Cochran's wife is in the hospital, him & his "aide" are jet-setting around the world on the taxpayer dime!
Liberals were raising money for Dick Lugar. How long or how much, I don’t know but it was definitely influencing his decision making.
