CNN’s Drew Griffin, one of the first reporters who took on the Veterans Administration hospital waiting time scandal, stated that the VA scandal was a "political bomb" that both parties believed the Obama administration was handling poorly in an appearance on CNN on Thursday.
Griffin cited the overflow of members of Congress who wanted to “rail against the VA” at a hearing last night as evidence that the scandal is “a political crisis that's just getting worse and worse and worse.”
In reference to the ongoing scandal, Griffin said “this is a political bomb for the president, and both sides don't think he's handling it very well.” He predicted that until Veterans Affairs Secretary Eric Shinseki stepped down, the president would take more heat as more revelations about VA misconduct surfaced.

Yeah. Veterans are dying for lack of care and our “Leaders” are worried about getting reelected since the cat got out of the bag.

Barack Houssain bin Obummer could care less. This is his last term in office. He’ll just give the veterans his middle finger.
This is not something the Dems want because you do not want to mess with either the vets themselves or those who know them.

No, this isn’t something the Dems wanted nor could have afforded with Obamascare already giving Dems the scoots. The two scandals are too closely connected healthcare issues. It’s almost as if the Dem Party built its reputation on the San Andreas Fault. The VA is the foreshock and Obamacare will be the most destructive main shock the party will ever suffer.
The VA is Single Payer.
It is the exemplar of Progressive’s end game for healthcare.

This scandal is getting traction because, unlike F&F or Benghazi, or IRS, it probably did NOT originate in the White House, so the press feels they can jump on it, in a weak way, of course.
Yep, and even it will outrage the low-info voters because if they are not vets themselves, they know of vets either by family, friendship, or work.

No, not Bush specifically, ALL of them. My niece has been a nurse at a VA facility for over 15 years. She does not have glowing things to say about the place she works. I got out in 81, and was told by more than a few that you only go to VA as a last resort.
The VA is the b*st*rd step child of the government.
Under Obama, we get stories about "how will this affect Obama?"
The truth is the exact opposite:
The responsibility for this particular scandal is diffused among very many people, many of them not at the very top.
For THAT reason this scandal is getting huge PR.
Responsibility for stuff like Bengazi is concentrated in the hands of a tiny view at the tippy-top and so coverage has been quashed.
