For his Parts Unknown visit to Israel, adventuresome chef Anthony Bourdain has been honored with the Voices of Courage and Conscience in Media award from the U.S. Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC). It was the chefs first time in Israel, and he visited Jerusalem, the West Bank, and Gaza.

I saw that episode. Uncle Ted let Tony shoot a full auto something and he actually enjoyed it. Made him feel macho (he said he never shot anything before - typical eastern mega-lib).
Flunky, junky, there’s probably a new show in that. I’m going to have to try to see these shows out of curiosity, though who knows when.

It was a pretty good episode really. Showed the pluses and minuses on both sides and gave a pretty good view of how they continue to make sure the other side is the enemy and most of the people are really just caught in the middle. Not as good as his eps without a message, but the message wasn’t one sided or simplistic.
Green papaya salad is amazing, but the origins may be Lao.
