As the House Appropriations Committee voted on party lines Thursday to allow school districts to waive nutrition requirements in school lunches, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office sent out a photo caught by an NPR reporter showing what Republicans were ordering for breakfast.
The tweet by NPR reporter Todd Zwillich shows a feast of processed fats, sugars and salts sometimes called food. The new nutrition guidelines championed by first lady Michelle Obama call for reducing those ingredients in federally subsidized lunch programs in favor of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and the like.
Obama has been on an all-out campaign against the waiver, including an op-ed in the New York Times on Thursday accusing Republicans of heading a “campaign for junk food.”

I caught that, too. An NPR “reporter” sent to the pic to Piglosi. She retweeted it. I wonder what she had for breakfast. Obviously something she can eat that doesn’t require movement of her facial muscles.
Oh no! Eating junk food? I guess we should impeach them for eating unhealthy foods. Why not impeach the Dems for violating the constitution?
