Cruz Calls for Anti-Ballistic Missiles System in Ukraine
Breitbart ^ | 28 May 2014

Posted on 05/30/2014 12:45:48 PM PDT by SoConPubbie

Wednesday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) talking with "Radio Liberty" on Radio Free Europe said America must stand against Russia's "acts of war" in Ukraine. Cruz said the United States should give the Ukrainian people "the tools and equipment necessary to defend themselves." The Texas junior senator also said it's time to install anti-ballistic missiles in Eastern Europe now and eventually in the Ukraine.

Cruz's call for an Eastern Europe missile-defense system is similar to a proposal by President George W. Bush as a deterrent to Russian President Vladimir Putin's aggression in Georgia in 2008. Bush's plan was abandon by President Barack Obama in 2009...

.....”Can’t go along with Cruz on this one”....

Me neither... like adding wood to a fire to even make the statement at this time.

I will vote for Cruz in the primary (especially if Walker doesn’t run) if he says and not only will we have an Anti-Ballistic Missiles System in Ukraine, but I am taking those stupid solar panels down at OUR house the following day after the Inaugural.

Cruz needs to leave foreign policy alone, he hasn’t a clue.

Screw a bunch of anti ballistic missiles like what we were going to give to the Polish. Instead send 1000 Stingers and 2000 man portable counter armor/vehicle weapons. Let Putin walk into a shit storm of anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons.

I would not want to give US tech to the Ukrainians. Too close to Russia.

Nawww.

It's Libertarians and the supporters of Ron and Rand Paul that don't have a clue concerning Foreign Policy and should leave it to people willing to pull their heads out of the sand.

One thing I have to give fiscal conservative (obviously a social moderate or lib), Donald Trump.
He was furious that we did not take payment in oil for liberating the people of Iraq from saddam Hussein. Boy, we don’t know how to play the game, we just bend over and take it even when we win.

So, did Reagan have a clue when he proposed a missile shield?

Staying out of it, the preferred choice of those supporting the Pauls, Libertarians, and Neville Chamberlain, is what allows World Wars to start and ultimately gets us into World Wars

Agreed. The Libertarianish, 1930's style isolationist foreign policy has long since been discredited. It is even more laughably useless in todays globalized world.

Cruz strikes me as in the mold of Reagan. Fiscal conservative with a strong foreign and defense policy. He actually stands strong for values that will give moral support to people fighting for freedom all over the world - from Venezuela, to Iran, and even China, Russia and elsewhere.

Russia wouldn’t be protecting Western Civilization from an evil empire by putting missiles in Cuba, instead it would be just what it was last time, evil, from an evil empire building, nation.

Cruz is a social conservative, a normal, regular conservative, all three legs, a Reagan conservative.

Make no mistake, KGB Putin’s terrorist war against Ukraine is areally a war against the USA and western civilization. All patriotic Americans should stand with Ted Cruz and Ukraine against Neo-Soviet Russia.

Well of course...Russia’s leadership will never be other than what it is. Just as when they put missiles in Cuba..they knew how they would play that in the end....we poked the bear and it retaliated...it always will when pushed far another.

We’re poking the Bear now....and this time it poked back....they knew that it would from the get go. Just like they knew it in Egypt and In Libya and Syria.

Political war will always cause death and destruction for the man on the street no matter how or why these nations go about their power struggles....peoples lives are simply collateral damage...and they all push until the International cry is loud enough.

The reason I went back into the military in 1983 was because I was so excited about Reagan “poking the bear”, I really wanted to serve under that man who knew how to face evil.

It was scary, and believe me, it was really tense under Reagan, but we had to stand up to them to save Europe and Western Civilization, in 1979 some of us were predicting that Carter’s mistakes would result in nuclear war around 1984/85, Reagan closed that window.

We need a leader, not someone who keeps warning us about “poking the bear” and lives in fear of annoying the enemy, until the pissy little bear has managed to overcome our advantages and alliances and eventually realigns things to his advantage.

....”We need a leader, not someone who keeps warning us about “poking the bear” and lives in fear of annoying the enemy”....

Things have changed and war is no longer fought in the same way now......Putin certainly revealed his hand, when he took Crimea, just how that will be done by the super powers. Make no mistake our Military was watching his moves very carefully. It was interesting listening to the Nato Commanders and others comment about this as it happened.

However, though our military stated Putin's execution and delivery was outstanding, they also saw quickly the opportunity ‘to see his hand’ and what he's got in communication warfare as well in other areas, which he clearly showed to our military watching this event unfold.

It isn't about “saving” Europe or Western Civilization as it was in the cold war....the entire political map is all about the New World Order and what nations will control it and who...that is what the Eu?US/Nato push has been all about...aligning nations and the grab for their resources so that the ‘large corporations’ and banks as well, such as Imf and others, can operate these and funnel monies accordingly to their “favorites”...while at the same time keeping/causing these nations indebtedness to them. (Just as we see currently happening in Ukraine).

The leader I would like to see is one who understands and knows what it is to be A Sovereign Nation and retains and protects it borders and it's peoples first and foremost. International Trade is fine but I do not want to see this nation under any 'European' World Order...which is exactly what Obama is about and why HE was put into office to move us to that end....just as Hillary Clinton will. Russia, Syria, Libya, Iran, Egypt, Israel and many of the Mid-East Countries, as well as China, DO NOT want to be under European Rule.....so the war is the Eu/US/Nato push against those who who are now forming their own Groups.

Not to mention Britain and other Nations now want to leave the EU Parliament behind and regain their own Sovereign statehood once again. So EU's in their own battle.

In time China and Russia will again be at ends for thier own aspiration's for power and control. But the Ultimate win will be God's...none of them realize this yet.

LOL, OK, no Reagan for you Obama is doing the right thing, nothing, and Paul will do it as well, the world arranges things, and we wait to see what they align against us.

If you are old enough ask yourself how some of us could see nuclear war in 1984/85, when looking at the future from 1979.

Reagan closed the window, but if I had doubts about what I had been thinking in 1979, I learned differently from 1983 military intelligence, when I learned that was their view as well.

Oh I loved Reagan....As for Nuclear War...that will not occur until the time is set for it....which the way things are going could be in the not too distant future. Iran would love to see Israel slide off the map.....and Putins doing what he can to make that a reality.

I do believe ‘the tension’ worldwide cannot endure many more years without another major war. Someone’s going to go for the Gold or resist those who are, or sidetrack the race. Which is what is happening on the World Stage today....regardless of the “love everybody and unite us all crowd”, the powers that be will always be juggling for more power and control....but if they can produce a false sense of unity they will do so just to keep the masses occupied while they go about their business.

I’m a student of Gods Word so have watched events for sometime now....Nuclear war is certainly evidenced there.
However it’s only been in the 20th Century that things have drastically increased to where we are now in this Century...and could very well be the last as we know it.

I’d like to see Cruz as our Candidate, and got on his ship awhile back. He speaks and acts closest to what I would be hopeful might bring our nation back under our Constitution and our Nation to love God again.
