The announcement Friday that the National Park Service will begin installing markers at places of importance to the history of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans is a step toward including them in the national narrative and components of education, supporters said.
Interior Secretary Sally Jewell made the announcement Friday at the Stonewall Inn, the scene of riots in June 1969 that are widely credited with starting the modern gay rights movement.
"Part of the job of the National Park Service is to tell this story," she said.

If my memory serves me right, the taking of their homosexual lovers into battle was part of the reason the Roman Empire began to decline and their battles lost??

My Grandmother loved the guy and said if I practiced the piano really hard for 4 hours a day, I could be just like him. It didn't work, but I'd still hate for Grandma to find out about Liberace after all these years!

Liberace was great in the 1960’s Batman series. After that, I lost interest.
