Cheap labor subsidized by the feds
US Chamber of Commerce and the SEIU: an unholy union.
Follow the Money!!!!
The simple answer is that the US Chamber of Commerce is not controlled by American businesses, but by multinational corporations.
These corporation owe no loyalty to the US, and have no problem in actively working against the interests of the US as long as they can make money on the deal.
This means that their number one concern is free trade agreements, because this offers them the cheapest labor, the most profitable markets, and the ability to evade paying taxes to anyone.
However, the traditional overseas markets for cheap labor are drying up, so they want to move production back to the US, but while continuing to pay sweatshop wages.
So, while they want amnesty for cheap labor, they definitely want a huge influx of illegal alien labor, since they can get it for sub-minimum wages.
The people who support the C of C may bee too uninformed to know what is happening, or they may agree with the C. of C.
Cheap labor - pure and simple - conservative farmer friend of mine also likes all the illegals running around the country - gets his crops picked for next to nothing - and they don’t ask questions....
“The national chamber is one of the nation’s loudest advocates for amnesty for people who broke the law entering the U.S”
Duh! They represent business. No shock there.
I guess they support the commerce of slavery... the consensual type. They are liberal and they think themselves smart to be flattered into being corrupt idiots.
