Sometimes there are “Manager Specials” which I always interpret to mean: this is about to cause salmonella so buy it now!

And 99 cents sounds like very little for a bit of butchering. The more you butcher, the higher the cost goes.

Around the Holidays, our local Marsh and Kroger supermarkets have them on sale for $.99-$1.39/lb.

I used to be able to get chicken breast on sale for $0.99/lb. at Shoprite in NJ... 3 years ago. In NW PA, grocery store prices are outrageous.
