Emails an American soldier reportedly sent to his parents before he was captured by the Taliban three years ago suggest he was disillusioned and considering deserting.

Bowe Bergdahl told his parents he was "ashamed to even be American" and was disgusted with the U.S. mission in Afghanistan and with the Army, according to emails quoted in Rolling Stone magazine.

This is starting to look like a 6 for 0 trade. The only ‘advantages’ I see are:

1. Obama’s PR numbers will improve marginally and temporarily.

2. The Taliban will know that we are, in fact and for at least another couple of years, their friend. This in turn will lead to a short pause in their aggressive efforts to destroy our way of life.

There is something very bad going on here, in my opinion. I see this as a release of high Ranking Islamist for something else besides this deserter ? Are we being black mailed ? I'm not sure Bergdahl can legitimately be classified as a POW. There certainly wasn't a military action taking place when he disappeared. He claims he was captured July 14, but his unit identified him as being missing July 1. ???

Belive it or not Jake Tapper is actually apparently trying to contact that soldier who is telling the truth about what happened when Bergdahl waltzed off base in Afghanistan. If its true this whole thing is just insane.
