This father is a Taliban-loving blowhard. I also don’t think he’s real bright.

He’s already “decompressed.”

He’s pissed on the United States for more than five years; that should be sufficient “decompression” for anyone.

US soldier Bowe Bergdahl: 'Our son needs time to decompress'

Fort Leavenworth, KS would be a perfect setting for this.

I wonder how many families began to learn German or Japanese when their sons were POWs during WWII? How many Americans became Nazis, or bowed to the Japanese emperor?

We need to stay on this. 6 brave soldiers are dead thanks to the deserter.
Since the elections are coming up we need to write our reps and demand justice.

'Our son needs time to decompress'

Your son needs to be lined up against a wall and executed by firing squad. He deserted his unit in a time of war.

Article 85 of the Uniform Code of Military Justice:

(c) Any person found guilty of desertion or attempt to desert shall be punished, if the offense is committed in time of war, by death or such other punishment as a court-martial may direct, but if the desertion or attempt to desert occurs at any other time, by such punishment, other than death, as a court-martial may direct.

You’re spot on. The way I expressed it to my wife was “this situation is more squirrely than a bag full of a$$holes.” Those forum posters advocating Ft. Leavenworth and a firing squad are also right on the mark but it’s unrealistic to expect the current Occupant to allow such against his co-religionist.

"needs time to decompress."

What they mean is he needs time to get his story straight, and I'm sure Obama's media propaganda section is giving him plenty of help with that.

He should “decompress” for 20 years in a federal prison!

"Jani and Bob Bergdahl also said they had not yet spoken to their son, Sgt SGT* Bowe Bergdahl,

There, fixed it.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

* for promotion to Sergeant, a soldier must do at least three things...attend Primary Leadership Development Course (PLDC), successfully appear before a promotion board, and attain enough promotion points (given for awards, schools attended, etc.). As a PFC, Bergdahl would not have done the first two, and it's doubtful he earned the points before he deserted. His two promotions were PR stunts, designed to make low-information types think this administration actually cares about our servicemen and women.

*******************************************************************

The title should read: ‘Our son needs time to get his story straight’.

My guess is this story was timed.to get the leaking of.the CIA station chief in Afghanistan out.of.the news.

If that gets too much time it will be discovered that the plame fiasco.was a whole lot of lies cooked up by democrats. Can’t have that.

Why does obama do this now? Who benefits politically, specifically at this moment, from this lopsided and ridiculous exchange?
