QFC had to toss the meat because it was taken outside the store.

Noooooooooooo! At least the po-po could have invited fire to an inpromptu barbeque.

QFC?.........................

QFC is a northwest grocery store chain. Stands for "Quality Food Center" or some such. They're not often the cheapest but they do have high quality stuff.

"QFC had to toss the meat because it was taken outside the store."

There's the sad part. They can't even donate it to a shelter or a food bank since they don't know what ~might~ have been done to the meat. Probably nothing wrong with it, of course, but just let one homeless guy get sick and QFC would be facing massive lawsuits.

Maybe the best thing is to toss it all in a nice clean box in the dumpster out back... and tell the local shelter that it's "really too bad we had to throw it all in the dumpster behind the store at 1234 so-and-so street."

Then some hungry folks could come get it... and they can't sue anymore since they took it from a dumpster themselves.

And it’s probably not a cow but a steer.

To the poster who suggested the store deposit the “tainted” meat in a dumpster and let it be known, it is common practice in some locales to put padlocks on the trash containers to keep anyone from pilfering the contents.

Honest.

Yes, by all means, reward the same element that caused the problem. That makes perfect sense.
