For fallen soldiers' families, Bergdahl release stirs resentment

(Advisory: Please note strong language in the last paragraph.)

The sense of pride expressed by Obama administration officials over Bergdahl’s release in exchange for five Taliban prisoners on Saturday is not shared by many of those who served alongside him in Afghanistan or the families of those said to have died trying to bring him back.

“Basically, my son died unnecessarily, hunting for a guy that we shouldn’t even have been hunting for,” Andrews told Reuters.

“He walked away from his guard post while on duty,” said former Private First Class Jose Baggett, who served in Bergdahl’s company. “Then we lost men looking for him. I’m not saying he should not be back in America but he has done nothing heroic. The people who died looking for his dumb ass – they are the heroes."

Obama won’t be posing with the families of those brave men anytime soon. He is simply an incompetent disgrace.

Have no fear families of those who died in vain trying to save this POS. No doubt he’ll issue a heart felt apology. Just don’t hold your breath. So, is he under lock and key in Germany recuperating? He should be. But hey, at least he’s gonna get his staff sarge stripe because of the normal promotion cycle. HUH? Uh, when I was in, they didn’t automatically promote. You either earned it or you’d be up for discharge. Navy, late 60’s early 70’s. Different times, different circumstances I guess.

Nothing has made much sense in this story.

It should stir more that resentments. It should cause blind rage. If I had a relative or close friend that lost their life over there and I came face to face with him....

For a legitimate POW, they can’t attend the requisite schools, etc., so the green machine does time-in-rank promotions. POW survival shouldn’t be financially ruinous.

Now that this is a legitimate POW situation.

The families of the six killed looking for this douche are in a unique position. They can do a lot of damage to the Marxist and Obama wouldn’t dare say or do anything to them.If he and the Dems want to see outrage, then harrass and threaten these families.
