Match? Why not compete against it?

Why not go to $100 per hour - now that would be a “Living Wage” as they leftists like to spout.

It’s about competition. It’s about “income inequality”. Or so says Barry.

Hey it’s California! They should triple it. Show everybody that they are a bunch of “nice” people.

Why not?

I’m sure other states could use the business.

What should the people already making $15.00 per hour do when the fast fooders make the same money?

Of course they should. Illegals need that love.

“What should the people already making $15.00 per hour do”

Why, form a UNION and demand more money, of course!
(Which has been the plan for this, all along, just like with the “Duty hours” regulations, that insures that independent owner-operators can no longer make a decent living)

I think it would be wonderful if everyone in San Diego got paid $1000/hr. as soon as they start kindergarten.

What! Only 15 dollars an hour, I vote for 25! What is the problem with this anyway... Okay, maybe 30 would be better! Seems that the cost does not matter to the actual businesses that pay these folks, so what the heck!

San Diego is nothing like Seattle, so I don’t think this is going to happen.

I’m self employed. It stands to reason that I should get a minimum wage. That means forcing people to buy my crappy products that are still in R&D.

Sounds fair to me.
