Three RCMP officers have died from injuries after gunfire erupted in a Moncton neighbourhood Wednesday evening.
Mounties said in a tweet that the officers were “mortally wounded” by a shooter who is still at large. Two other officers have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
Police are advising people in the vicinity to stay inside as they hunt for the shooter.

A few years ago I was held at a Canadian border station for 90 minutes watching the trunk of my car be pulled apart and having dozens of questions about firearms being put to me.They were polite...no handcuffs or anything...but they were relentless.They finally let me in and I've entered the country a dozen or so times since with no problems.
But it was a spooky experience.

He’s picking his shots as you hear it’s not wildfire. The guy gave 2 spaced shots at an RCMP on scene. This could get real messy if the police don’t handle this right.
Interesting reaction in the video, showing how people have been programmed—cops are out there being shot and the response is to call 911, missing the point that the call isn’t going to tell the authorities anything they don’t already know.
As Chesterton said, the problem with crazy people is that they have lost everything but their reason. You are right—if he has some skills and has thought this through it could be a long night.

To a degree. If it’s a lone officer who was shot they can relay his status and specific location for other officers to converge and retrieve the wounded officer for medical treatment. If there’s other cops there then yea, it’s pointless.
If he’s armed with a rifle, standing on the other side of a 6-8” thick wall won’t offer much protection if he was a spree killer. Though it would have been nice if they had a firearm to offer support for an officer who most likely only had a pistol and/or possibly a shotgun.
It appears that he wanted to be a cop and graduated from some type of law enforcement higher education only to end up as a mall cop.
The liberals are already going nuts on Yahoo, it’s painful to look at.
I am already fearing fallout from this. I hope this guy is simply put down like a rabid dog.
