.....Since last weekend’s prisoner exchange in which Afghan insurgents turned over Sergeant Bergdahl after five years of captivity, a number of the men who served with him have called him a deserter. Some have gone further, blaming him for the deaths of six to eight soldiers.
That second claim is hardening into a news media narrative. CNN has reported in scrolling headlines that six soldiers died looking for Sergeant Bergdahl after senior American military officials say he wandered off his base.

Remember when Abu Ghraib was on the front pages for the SLIMES for MONTHS?? The old gray hag was anxious then to destroy an administration....now, it is on a mission to cover for a Constitution-hating one.
Shame on the state-run media for rushing to the defense of a traitor to bail out Obama. This is a new low in Left-wing journalism.
It is thought that “deserter” might even be too mild a term. “Defector” might be loser to the mark. At what time did he convert to Islam, before going missing or after? Could he have actually report his squad’s position?
If Obama were to praise Hitler and the Nazis at the D-day commeration today, the NYT would find a way to defend Hitler’s record as being “murky.”
The majority of comments following the article that I have read so far support Bergdahl and Obama. Basically they are saying the republicans hate Obama and that is the reason for the “outrage”. I hate liberals. Hate them. Furiously hate them.
Can’t we just divide into two separate countries?
All pretense of independent journalism was long ago flushed, but this is indeed a new low. This is Stalin erasing people from photographs and printing the touched up versions as official fact.
That last NYT headline, as well as the printing of anything Goebbels had to say was, and is a travesty.
I have often marveled that the biggest population of Jews in the world live in New York. Why they cannot bring themselves to support and aid Israel mystifies me.
How I wish they finally would come to the aid of their brethren.
Paul, paraphrasing, wrote that if he could give his own life if that would bring his brethren to repentance and belief that he do so.
Paul was like them before his Damascus Road conversion. After he was heartbroken, but he also knew that God had blinded His own chosen people to the truth.
They were persecuted and murdered for millenia. But, God did bring them back from over 100 nations in which they were scattered.
These precious survivors made the desert bloom and rebuilt the ruins and desolate places. Just as God said they would.
The muslim in the White Hut hates them for what they have accomplished. Well, go look for all the muslim Nobel Laureates. Still looking? Seems like most of the awardees were Jewish. Still looking?

They are going to be educated (the Jews), they will gaze on the One they had pierced, they mourn for Him as for a son.
Most importantly they will see their Messiah and He will be the One who will save them physically and spiritually.

The issue whether six lives were lost as a result of Bergdahl’s desertion, while certainly important, is not central to the discussion at hand. The key matter here is that Obama illegally traded five top Taliban officials for a low ranking deserted and broke the law in the process, all to appear a “hero” and change the subject from the failures administering the VA. There is reason to believe that a CIA operative was outed as a direct result of this.
Obama and his cronies keep parroting the line that we have a principle in this country that we don’t leave soldiers behind. They seem to be forgetting that we have an even more fundamental principle which trumps even that — we don’t negotiate with terrorists. We also don’t, for that matter, support so-called “leaders” who commit treason to cover their backsides.
There was high level pressure put on all media to make Bergdahl ‘well’ again. I noticed the members on panel of Fox News yesterday were acting rather nervous when the Rosen report was the subject.
The best any of them could muster was ‘we should wait until this is investigated by the military’ (paraphrase).
If you know how much pressure 0 can put on the media, just imagine how much he can put on a military ‘investigation’ as Commander and Chief.
He WILL have his hero.
Yes, many Jews live in NYC, but apparently you are unaware that Orthodox Jews are conservative, and vote that way as well. As well, more Jews live in Israel than anywhere else. Although Israel is largely socialist, Israeli Jews cannot stand Ubama.
A 2-year-old or a pet might "wander off". Bergdahl deserted.

35 years after I worked as a reporter at a small Pennsylvania daily, I still have vivid memories of the editorial editor practically jumping over his desk when the New York Times was brought in to the newsroom mid-morning. Finally — he could find out what his opinions were for the day.
Did you not realize that was satire?
