HOUSTON, TexasThe Republican National Committee (RNC) has proposed major changes for the upcoming 2016 Presidential Primary Debates. The changes include reducing the number of debates and getting rid of the left-of-center moderators like George Stephanopoulos and Chris Matthews.
The proposal passed by a vote of 152-7 according to Republican Party of Texas (RPT) Chairman Steve Munisteri. In a newsletter sent out to Republican activists and delegates in the run-up to next weeks RPT state convention, which will be held in Fort Worth June 5-7, Munisteri reported that he and the two Texas Republican National Committee Members, Dr. Robin Armstrong and Toni Anne Dashiell, voted in support of the proposal.
I did so, Chairman Munisteri stated, because I felt there were two major problems with debate process last cycle. The first problem I had was that there were too many debates which resulted in the airwaves being filled with our candidates blasting at each other on a regular basis.

I say we nominate Mark Levin as a moderator.
He would rip their lungs out.
Duh!
Yeah...dump that Crowley pile of...AND that Martha Raddatz RAT too!
No Leftie Moderators?
What? Like Candy Crowley interjecting and aiding Obama with pre-planned debate tactics?
Sheesh. This should have been a no-brainer from the get-go. Romney should have known he was walking into a trap.
bump
Good! If they just stick with it.
Hannity, Rush, BOR(?), Beck?.........................
I vote for Rush, Levin, maybe Lou Dobbs to keep them honest on amnesty.
No leftie Republican candidates would be better.
No leftie moderators, no MSM venue, no NPR venue, no cable news venue. What if they conduct a debate, and nobody watches?
And certainly no Gwen Ifell of PBS, Candy Crowley, and no one from NBC or CBS. In fact, they should only allow Jake Tapper, Sheryl Atkinson and Brett Bahr to moderate three debates. That should be sufficient.
Great. Now what are they going to do about the DNC moderators during the General election!
No more DNC emedded moderators like,
Martha “I got your back Barrack” Raddatz or Candy “No, Obama is correct” Crowley.
Did they finally find their testicles and brains?
And I concur with responder # 2 - GET MARK LEVIN!!!!
Its nice in theory but how do they do it? Limit themselves to talk radio debates?
Ted Nugent for moderator.
No need for any Moderators , fill a Barrel with questions ,have the candidate reach in and grab a question ,if the audience hates answer , Slime the candidate
And no more George Stephanopolus (sp?) posing ridiculous hypotheticals about states banning contraception.
I remember that debate, and candidates told George that no states were wanting to take such action, and no candidate was in favor of such an action. George wouldn’t let it go. Eventually the audience started booing George as he pursued inane follow-ups based on the premise that states want to ban contraceptives.
Debates should discuss the issues of the day, not get sidetracked by some liberal who poses questions over something that will never happen.
