6 weeks to the 07/22/14 Georgia Republican Primary, Jack Kingston is 11 points ahead of fellow Republican David Perdue in the battle for the Republican nomination, and the right to face Democrat Michelle Nunn in the 11/04/14 general election, according to a SurveyUSA poll conducted for WXIA-TV, the Gannett owned station in Atlanta.
Today it's Kingston 52%, Perdue 41%. Encouraging for Perdue is that among seniors, who are the most reliable voters, the contest is tied, 47% to 47%. Encouraging for Kingston is that he is above 50% among men, whites, independents, conservatives, middle and upper income voters, more educated voters, and in all 3 regions of Georgia. In greater Atlanta, Kingston leads by 10, in South Georgia and Eastern Georgia, Kingston leads by 18, and in Northwest Georgia, Kingston leads by 6.
In hypothetical head-to-head November match-ups against Democratic nominee Michelle Nunn, today, 5 months to election day, Kingston defeats Nunn by 6 points and Perdue defeats Nunn by 5 points. The race is for Republican Saxby Chambliss' seat. Early though it is: the seat at this hour is a Republican "hold," not a Democratic "takeaway."

Kingston is by far the better of these two. I hope he prevails against Perdue in the upcoming runoff.
In the general election, Kingston leads Nunn by 43% to 37%, and Perdue leads Nunn by 43% to 38%. IMHO, it won’t be a cakewalk, but we’ll hold in Georgia.
I expected Nunn to drop once the field thinned out. Its a shame we’ll be replacing the awful Taxby with someone who is only vaguely more conservative.
Kingston is more reliably conservative than Purdue. And less prone to make a mistake in the general.
Based on what?
Kingston is by far the better of these two
Google (or the search engine of your choice) is your friend.
Check Kingston’s voting record. Check Perdue’s statements about working across the aisle and “getting things done”.
Perdue is an unknown and a likely clone of Saxby. We need to just get behind Kingston at this point and make sure we keep that senate seat.
Jack Kingston seems good on immigration from his interview on primary day with Laura Ingraham.
He mentioned anchor babies, the 9th circuit, Heritage and cracking down on employers of illegals.

Kingston is my congressman. He is supported by the chamber of commerce which supports amnesty.. He does not possess a solid backbone and when the chamber demands their pro amnesty vote he will comply.
Oh, and he only talks in sound bites and cannot give a yes or no answer to any simple question. At the debate I attended he steadfastly refused to take a position on repealing obamacare.
Meanwhile, Ms Nunn would race down the aisle to vote for amnesty...
“Kingston is my congressman. He is supported by the chamber of commerce which supports amnesty...

Sorry Josa, your argument doesn’t hold water. Just because the C of C supports amnesty doesn’t mean Kingston supports amnesty—he doesn’t. In fact, Kingston has signed the FAIR pledge (to be fair, Perdue has also). The American Conservative Union scores Kingston’s lifetime (over 22 years, I believe) voting history as 95.62, where 100 indicates a perfect conservative record. So he is solid.
If you don’t want to support your opinions, don’t express them
“If you dont want to support your opinions, dont express them”

Sorry Barack, this is not the Democratic Underground. We still have freedom to express our opinions.
By the way, check with the DNC; they may have some opportunities for opinion suppressors.
So I guess you can’t support your opinion. Sounds like you work for the chamber of commerce. They all for kingston too, and like you, they’re not even close to conservative
Kingston may not be perfect but he has a conservative voting record. He’s also a seasoned campaigner from Southern GA, who’s less likely to be upset by Spawn of Nunn.
Perdue is a nepotist who talks like someone open to tax hikes. Fail.
Does anyone remember his cousin fondly?
Here are a couple short articles from John Gizzi for the lazy,

With zero record to vouch for him, Perdue could be be anything, I think he’s to Saxby’s left. This is a no-brainier in my opinion.
I met Kingston at a Tea Party meeting at St. Simons Island. I came to be impressed with him.
Bradley Byrne(AL) was supported by the Chamber against a social conservative. He is on the Jeff Sessions bandwagon now. They wanted the Crony dollars to keep flowing first of all in the short term after the shutdown. Byrne will also have to stay that way to mainatin his 53-47 primary victory.
Jack Kingston is better on immigration than most senators except Sessions, Vitter, Scott, Risch, Crapo, Enzi, Boozman and Inhofe.
When he talked to Ingraham he mentioned Heritage Robert Rector study, anchor babies, liberal activist judges and trusting Obama. Most Republicans dont touch half those issues.
He’s better than Trey Gowdy on immigration.
