MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexico's Attorney General's Office is defending its decision to prosecute a U.S. Marine veteran who was jailed after he drove into Mexico in April with three guns in his truck.

The office said in a statement Friday that Andrew Tahmooressi was arrested on weapon charges because he was carrying a pistol, shotgun and rifle and ammunition when he crossed into Tijuana.

You know they wouldn’t be doing this unless Ubama told them to.

Not necessarily. They are just waiting for the right size bribe.

Somebody down there is still holding a grudge against the U.S./TX for executing at least 2 convicted illegal alien Mexican murderers over the last 2 years.

The situation seemed pretty straightforward. He didn’t even WANT to cross the border. I know in the end it’s his responsibility for crossing, but he was apparently looking for and unable to turn back.

Shouldn’t a little common sense apply here somewhere? He was up front about the whole thing and got tossed in prison.

I know... I know... but it should still be said even if we are talking about Mexico.

Obama knows the drill: can I say PRISONER EXCHANGE. If I am to believe what I see and hear, Mexicans are constantly crossing into the USA, with and without guns. PRISONER EXCHANGE. Should be easy, but then again, it's Obozo who couldn't organize a party in a brothel.

Need to ask the Mexican AG if he knows how many armed Mexicans cross the border in a northerly direction?

If Obama cared, he could put pressure on Mexico. Like declaring the country off-limits to all American passport-holders until the Marine is returned to the US. But he could care less—the Marine never helped the Taliban.

The right thing to do would have been, in the absence of any evidence of wrong doing, to directly escort the man back to the US border.

It just wouldn’t have been lucrative to do that.

I'm a little torn on this...

Flip the situation...

Mexican crosses the border by accident with illegal firearms...

Oh' Wait...

Well, if one turncoat soldier is worth five Taliban bigwigs, what is one, bona fide soldier worth in today's market?

Oh I know!!!!... Passing Amnesty will get him released? Is that a better deal than releasing 5 Taliban commanders for one turncoat?

Meanwhile, we are feeding, sheltering and providing health care to millions of illegals in America.

The US has been playing the sap for Mexico for so long that Mexico is becoming complacent, not expecting any pushback because of the soft, cooing noises coming out of DC. It wouldn’t surprise me that, at some point, Joe US Citizen(s) is going to take the issue up personally and directly with one or more Mexican diplomats.

Tahmooressi, when he goes on trial should claim that he has Diplomatic Imminity and Mexico has no jurisdiction.

Mexico defends decision to prosecute US marine

If Ronald Reagan was President, this soldier would have been home weeks ago. Now, with the current "no-cajones" quisling in the white hut, who know when this poor guy will be free?

Expect Obama to trade them the southwest US and Texas to get him out. They won’t take it because were already too busy givin their citizens more gubmint benefits than an American can ever expect to get.
