In an exclusive interview with NBC's Brian Williams set to air Friday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, Barack Obama doubled-down in his defense of a prisoner swap for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl going so far as to claim he'd do it, again if given the chance.
Said Obama, "When somebody wears our country’s uniform and they’re in a war theater and they’re captured,” he said, “we’re gonna do everything we can to bring ’em home. “We had to act fast in a delicate situation that required no publicity.”
In a confusing twist, he went on to seem as if he was portraying the Taliban as America's friend. Saying the war is ending, “you don’t do prisoner exchanges with your friends, you do ’em with your enemies.”

Christopher Buckley thinks the exchange resulted from a botched asset, who had to be retrieved. I think he might have it confused with Benghazi, but you never know if he’s joking or not.

He was just using Bergdahl as an excuse since he wants to release ALL the Gitmo detainees..he wanted to see how people reacted to the five of the worst first..eventually he is going to release them all because Communists always side with the enemy..he would put members of the Taliban in his Administration if he could, he considers them his friend
