Rep. Jack Kingston (R-Ga.) has a lead over both his primary and general election opponents in the crowded Georgia Senate race, according to a new poll conducted by SurveyUSA.
Kingston leads businessman David Perdue (R) by 52 percent to 41 percent in the primary runoff, according to the automated poll, and has a 43 percent to 37 percent lead over Democrat Michelle Nunn in the general election. Perdue has a similar lead in the general election. Perdue finished ahead of Kingston in the first round of voting. But Kingston seems to be consolidating support, he's locked in endorsements from their former rivals, former Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel (R) and Rep. Phil Gingrey (R-Ga.).
The poll of 999 likely general election voters and 419 likely GOP runoff voters was conducted from June 3-5, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percent for the primary and 3.2 percent for the general election.

KINGSTON’S THE MAN WE WANT!
Is Michelle Nunn related to Sam Nunn?
His daughter.
“Is Michelle Nunn related to Sam Nunn?”
Yup, that’s why the democrats ran and nominated her. And Richard Lugar endorsed her to help out his old democratic buddy!
She looks like her dad. But that’s unfortunate.
Kingston was not my first or second choice but its time to get behind him and sew up this senate seat for the GOP. He will be better than Chambliss. Saxby set a low standard.
I’ll support Kingston for the seat.
This is another opportunity to point out what a gang of liars the RINO-defense squad are here on FR when they say “if you dont vote for Mitch McConnell you’re a purist!”
No, I’ll give my support to establishment Republicans like Jack Kingston in Georgia and Steve Daines in Montana because despite being in bed with the leadership, their records aren’t bad and they dont have a track record of viciously attacking the grassroots.
Mitch McConnell does have such a record. So does this idiot Thom Tillis in North Carolina.
Kingston would be a very slight improvement on Taxby Chambliss, I’m willing to back him to prevent Nunn from getting the seat. Karen Handel is also now well positioned to challenge the pathetic Isakson when he is up next, since she has an impressive groundgame.
Message to the anti-purist cult: I will support Kingston. Will NOT support Mitch.
