It didnt take long after yesterdays shotgun attack by a non-student at Seattle Pacific University for word to get out that the brave actions of students ended the attack before far more people could be injured or killed.
The friends of the first man to go after the armed suspect quickly identified the bashful hero to the world via Twitter.

The MSM must be beside themselves... a poster boy for the anti gun crowd, a person of color yet. And it turns out he’s a patriot and appreciates the right to keep & bear arms.
“Somehow” none of this was reported in the local media, as far as I can tell. At least not in the first 24 hours. But we all knew that the SHOOTER had a pro-gun site listed on his Facebook page.
the leftist media will be in full spin and supress mode on this one. may God bless and protect the young hero Meis.
Thanks rktman.
Damn those Constitution supporters.
God Bless this young man..heard about this last night that his facebook page says that he is a supporter of the NRA
The Seattle Times described Meis as “outdoorsy” without mentioning that he is (apparently) a hunter, gun owner, and strong 2nd Amendment advocate. If the SHOOTER were any of those things, those details would be front-and-center. Media bias sucks.
Posted this one after I mentioned I read something about Mr. Meis being an NRA supporter/liker.
Very nice...
Young ladies, marry that man, or his like.
it’s so sadly predictable; isn’t it. let’s hope and pray the young man will be able to start his family in peace.
He had to wait till the killer ran out of of ammo and stopped to reload. If he had a gun he could have shot the killer right away.
He stopped the attack with an illegally concealed can of pepper spray.
If he had followed the school rules a lot of students would be dead.
I’m waiting for the attorney general to issue an indictment and throw the book at this guy.
The local media have still put a fig leaf over the fact that “Firearms” was listed as a topic under “Likes” on his Facebook page, and that sub-topics included the NRA and several gun manufacturers. The odds against that information being suppressed if he had been the SHOOTER are a million-to-one. No, actually, IMPOSSIBLE. The closest the local media came to showing him as he really is was by mentioning that he is “knowledgeable about guns” and participates in a paintball-type sport.
Jon Meis had the knowledge of guns to realize that he would have time while it was being reloaded. I wonder too if being around guns made the event a bit less scary to him allowing him to think clearly.
On some donation page (youdonate) or something someone set up a page for him. It is over $25,000. And his gift registry for his wedding (2-weeks from today!) has been filled!
Donations are also coming in for Paul Lee’s family, the freshman student from Portland that was killed.
