All is fair in love and war even when you’re an anti-war activist. And Michael Moore is using a Breitbart article about his $2 million vacation home to claim his wife was making him look bad.
With his divorce trial looming, Michael Moore is battling his wife over the valuation of the couple’s assets, while branding her a spendthrift who “unilaterally wasted a large percentage of the marital funds” building a lakefront mansion that has prompted mocking news stories about the activist filmmaker’s wealth.
Moore and Glynn jointly own “multiple substantial residences and multiple companies,” including Dog Eat Dog Films, the production company behind hit movies like “Roger & Me” and “Bowling for Columbine.” The couple’s real estate holdings include a total of nine properties in Michigan and New York. The duo co-owns a Manhattan condo that was created through the combination of three separate units.
But it is the northern Michigan mansion that appears to be the couple’s most contentious asset, and bad press about the home has apparently rankled Moore.
Included among the nearly 300 items on Moore’s trial exhibit list are six stories published in 2011 about the Torch Lake compound. Each of the articles described the luxury residence, while some of the reports noted that the Occupy Wall Street supporter was living like a member of the “1%.” One story described the residence as “Moore’s $2M hypocrite house,” while another article’s headline declared that the director’s “Massive Michigan Vacation Mansion Beyond 99 Percent’s Wildest Dreams.”
So according to Moore, owning nine properties in New York, including a triple Condo, was the problem because conservative sites such as Breitbart and the National Post began making fun of him.
Breitbart, seizing on Moore’s embrace of Occupy Wall Street and his denial that he’s among the richest 1 percent of Americans, has posted five photos of Moore’s lavish vacation home on Lake Torch in Michigan.
“No one begrudges Moore his wealth, but it is deceitful for him to claim poverty while encouraging class warfare among other Americans,” Breitbart wrote beneath one of the photos. “It is also purely narcissistic and selfish for Moore to back radical and destructive socialist policies that would deny other Americans the opportunity to become as rich as he is.”
I’ve seen the apartment listed at $1.27 million back in 1999. That means it could top $2 million today. But I’m sure that’s his wife’s fault too. And his wife, no doubt, made him buy Haliburton stock and then lie about it.
Or maybe it was George Bush. But it’s never Moore’s fault.
The wife is decent looking I think I remember. This man is just a disgusting slob. And he’s probably a big drunk too. She’s well rid of him and I hope she takes him to the cleaners. But she must be a moron, who would marry such an awful, ugly (inside and out) person in the first place?

Don’t read into a simple statement of fact. He didn’t blame Eve, he simply restated the facts. Did Eve blame Satan?

It is a loaded answer to a very simple question. I don't have to read into the statement. The question and answer are instructive on their own.
God asked Adam "Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat." Adam could have responded with a simple answer. Sinners try to make excuses when called to account by God. Eve tried to do the same.
Did Eve blame Satan?
Actually she did. Her answer was "The serpent deceived me, and I ate."
Proverbs 19:3 - The foolishness of man subverts his way, And his heart rages against the Lord.
Adam simply told the truth and accurately. You’re reading into it. God asked a compound question demanding more than a simple yes or no.
GOD’S WORD® Translation
God asked, “Who told you that you were naked? Did you eat fruit from the tree I commanded you not to eat from?”
Adam cannot be a sinner. He’s committed no sin at all. He and Eve were utterly naïve, more naïve than any other human being ever. They just realized they were naked and hid themselves because the recognized that it was inappropriate.
Note well that God had given Adam and via Adam, Eve, two commands in conflict. In Genesis 2:16-17, the command not to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, conveniently placed within the Garden in Eden. Then immediately comes Genesis 2:18-

And Jehovah God saith, ‘Not good for the man to be alone, I do make to him an helper — as his counterpart.’
Helpmeet is the usual translation and its meaning is someone equal to the task.
Jehovah continues in 2:19-20 to explain that no “help up to the task existed in the world”. At 2:21-22 he forms Eve, the woman up to the task ahead, from Adam himself. That’s a critical verse to note. Adam from the dust of the earth, Eve from Adam. They’re literally one from the beginning.

Adam, recognizes the importance of the man/woman relationship - procreation. Otherwise God could have simply formed another man and they could have been good buddies in Eden for all eternity, but Genesis 2:24 explains the reason for Eve’s existence - procreation. Genesis 2:25 closes and clearly indicates that no procreation was going to take place without some physical attraction. They were naked, but not with the natural reaction we expect today - arousal to sex.
Now we come to the part of the story with some clarity and background. Keep in mind that God: 1. gave conflicting commands forcing a choice. 2. left the Tree of Knowledge in an accessible place (if Eden was the goal isn’t that a big mistake?), and 3. let Satan roam around freely tempting them.
So when God comes and asks his question, Adam’s answer is a clearer, more accurate explanation.

and the man saith, ‘The woman whom Thou didst place with me — she hath given to me of the tree — and I do eat.’
The woman, Eve, whom thou gavest me (remember the other commandment to procreate, which was impossible in our previous state) she (had already eaten) gave me the fruit and I went along with it.
He’s not lying or laying the blame on Eve, but having a conversation with a God who so loved the world He gave his only Begotten Son. In reality God’s to blame, no? Unless, the plan is to escape Eden and get to mortality. Remember God specifically notes the arousal/notice they gave to their nakedness, a clear reference to the foregoing verse which contained the command to sexual intercourse type arousal.
Adam and Eve are good guys and did the right thing, at least for me. I’m glad to be alive and here.

Don’t be hoodwinked by his casual demeanour and capitalism rants – Michael Moore’s millions make him one of the richest men in American media.
Film-maker Moore, 60, made his name for anti-establishment politics with Capitalism: A Love Story (2009) and Fahrenheit 9/11 (2004) – accruing a multi-million dollar fortune in the process.
Moore’s impressive property portfolio was laid bare during divorce proceedings from his wife of 22 years, Kathleen Glynn.
The political controversialist finalised his split from 58-year-old Glynn on Tuesday in a US court in northern Michigan, where the couple owns a £1.2m lakeside home.
The 10,000 square-foot luxury pad is one of nine properties belonging to the couple, who wed in Flint, Michigan, in 1991.
Moore shares his time between his home state and New York City, where he owns a Manhattan apartment.
The couple did not disclose how their fortune would be divided, with Moore commenting on his Facebook page: “Kathleen and Michael have mutually and amicably reached a divorce settlement.”
In an ironic postscript, Moore added a clip of Bruce Springsteen’s Rosalita (Come Out Tonight) to the update. The divorce proceedings had been ongoing since June last year
