A Metro source has confirmed that two police officers died today, victims of a shooting in the northeast part of the valley.
The source said one officer was shot and killed about 11:30 a.m. at Cici's Pizza at 309 N. Nellis Ave. The other officer was shot there and died while in surgery at UMC.
At a 1:30 p.m. news conference Metro said one person was killed inside Walmart and two suspects were killed in the back of the store.
The two suspects told other shoppers that they were part of a revolution and wanted a shootout with Metro. However, they had a suicide pact and killed themselves.

The cops were ambushed & disabled — so no one was there with a gun to take the thugs ‘ out’ before they ran to the Wal-Mart to take hostages & kill more people?

Witnesses at the scene reported hearing shots fired in quick succession inside the WalMart.
One unconfirmed report is that the two exchanged gunfire with a citizen who was carrying a concealed weapon, and that one of the shooters was injured. Police confirm that at least one civilian at the Walmart was shot and killed.

The Review-Journal has crashed as of this posting, but in the story it noted that the man - Brutsche - was to be released May 18 2014, a few weeks ago, and the woman, Newman, was set free after a plea bargain.
Sovereign Citizens types can be.....odd, shall we say.
