Bergdahl Confirms Obama and the Dems as the Damnedest Fools
Townhall.com ^ | June 9, 2014 | John Ransom

So it comes to this: After all that has been said about Barack Obama, in the end there is very little to say.

You are either willing to overlook Barack Obama’s foibles and foolishness; or you aren’t. We we're right, you were wrong. You can either admit or you can't.

There is no middle ground.

There is no saying for example “Well he’s kind of new in the job,” or “This is an example of one bad apple in his Cabinet,” or “The president didn’t know about it.”

Going into his second term, you either knew what we had in Barack Obama or you didn’t.You knew we were right and you overlooked it, or you knew we were right and you didn't.

For myself, I’ve never been willing to overlook the least ready of all presidents; nor have I ever been willing to give the least steady of presidents a free pass on issues.

Getting past his ideology, however, I was certainly willing to be dazzled, like most everyone else.

I was prepared for the post-racial America; for a Great Communicator, who at least on some things, would lift us all up together.

I was looking forward to a day when race, creed, ethnicity, didn’t have to be the issues that drove us apart.

I was impressed when Obama defended private insurance against Hillary’s single payer system; I was impressed that he was willing to tangle with Jesse Jackson, Sr. during the 2008 campaign. He put his prestige on the line to talk about personal responsibility to group that often hears those words like a lecture.

When he was elected, I was willing to celebrate the great racial divide that had been bridged in this country by electing a black man within the living memories of those who helped craft segregation.

In all these things, I was hopeful that the office of the presidency would lift up Barack Obama and with it, the rest of us, as it did Harry Truman, Abraham Lincoln and Andrew Jackson.

I have, after all, survived many presidents I did not agree with, and could even something find something I could cheer in them.

But what a disappointment this man has been.

There has been no level of discord to which he has not been willing to drive us.

There have been no principles that he has not been willing to abandon.

There has been no opportunity lost to use our country for personal, political ends.

There has been no hesitation in manipulating, gaming, and otherwise using Washington, D.C. as a blood sport.

The deception he perpetrated on the American people is rivaled only by the deception he perpetrated on his party.

And if the stakes weren’t so grave for the country, I would laugh.

Someone is going to have to clean up this mess.

One day the Democrats are going to have to regain the trust of all Americans. They are the party of the Chosen One; they will not get a free pass on spying, or the Boston bombing, or Benghazi, or Eric Holder, the VA, Obamacare, Fast and Furious, the carbon tax, Bowe Bergdahl or scandals yet to be discovered.

And this isn’t socialist Europe.

We all expect to rise.

And when we don’t rise, we’re going to blame someone.

When we get bogged down, as we have, in the self-love of a man who adores his own reflection in the surface of a teleprompter because-- more or less-- he can read the same "great" speech over and over...well let's just say that's not an America built to last.

Since it remains highly unlikely that anyone, anywhere including: 1) members of Congress; 2) the Media; 3) the Democrat Party or 4) European automotive journalists, will ever, anytime hold Barack Obama culpable for his sins, it is certain that eventually some will hold his party responsible instead.

It’s a cautionary tale for Democrats.

“Jim Jett always used to say that his brother was the damnedest scoundrel that was ever borne,” drawled Abraham Lincoln, “but by the infinite mercy of providence he was also the damnedest fool.”

It’s the virtue of this Republic that eventually fools are found out.

Yet, it remains to be seen what anyone, anywhere will do about this particular fool.

It is subversive, racist, and homophobic to ridicule the POSOTUS. Report to your nearest Homeland Security reeducation center for sensitivity training.

If anything good comes from this, then it might be the 20% (I don’t buy the 39% crap) that support ZERO finally realize he really is a BOZO

The explanation is simple - the Current Regime and the Democrat leadership in both the House and Senate are from a different universe, where logic and calm reason, if they exist, obey very different rules. This is, if not abnormal psychology, is at least constructed along very different lines, and may be based in the absence or presence of certain chemical that affect brain activity.

Flashback to the ‘Seventies, anybody?

The Current Regime merits at least as much criticism as that of Jimmy Carter’s experiment in “remaking” of America, and as much scrutiny as the Richard Nixon White House.

And the person now squatting in the White Hut isn’t even a “real” black person. Michael Jackson was more authentic.

Whatever makes people imagine that there are no more ridiculous happenings going on in and around the White House is beyond my understanding

Why are Mississippians voting for an establishment do nothing 76 year old senator? Why does Ann coulter defend Mitch mc Connell and the idea that any republican is a good republican, as long as republicans win the senate? Why is Linsey G even placing in south C, when he should’ve been out after he failed to be definitive about Clinton’s impeachment?

Never mind the horrible democrats.

The administration is no where near finished

A family member in the Northeast called the other day. I saw her name on my phone and thought someone had died. She wanted to know what the hell is going on?

With what? Oh WTC booming types getting escorted out of prison and back to battle?

Hmm. Yawn. Well... that’s just a day in the life

Does anyone really think this is not the essence of BO and the enabling republicans?

Do they think it won’t get worse?

Do they think, oh he doesn’t like Linsey G talking (bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla) about impeachment, so he’s going to stop inviting parents of defectors to classified meetings with the enemy?

2 1/2 years more. Then Jeb illegal immigrant spanish speaker or Hillary America hater. M
Btw Hillary knows nothing about life inside rules and regulations

I read here from a poster just yesterday that Hillary respects the constitution.

Will people put down the drinks and the pills and pay attention?

The damnedest fools are those that fall for the Bergdahl ruse.

The true crime is Obama’s actions: 1) returning enemy commanders to an enemy who has not surrendered, an overt act of aiding an enemy - which treason, and 2) aiding a terrorist organization, a felony.

-——foibles and foolishness——

To sharpen that phrase up considerably, better words are gross incompetence and Peter Principle reality.

The truth is that panic stalks the West Wing corridors and we see the frantic attempts to do something even if it is wrong.

The daily scheduled dog and pony shows so meticulously planned and staged were preempted by and ad hoc disaster

I don’t think anyone will argue against the notion that everything points to a Manchurian Candidate that was put into place to bring about the fall of the U.S. using Cloward - Piven tactics anymore except for the die hard 0 fans. The Tea Party is the Scooby Doo team that foils a lot of their evil plans and the very reason he and his socialist progressives hates them.

All of it is to diminish Trey Gowdy’s Select Committee. That is where the real bones are buried. Have you not noticed the level of self inflicted scandals they are themselves outing whenever this Benghazi thing pops up in the headlines?

Remember, they wrote new laws to make that kind of crap highly illegal when Ollie North was able to get off their Reagan vendettas because the law did not address what was done to get around a commie loving Congress at the time?

I heard one liberal pundit trying to make the point that Ollie North did the same in negotiating with Iran. Bullcrap! Congress took away any possible funding to help those battling Daniel Ortega. Ollie sold the mullahs mostly worthless crap for that money to be turned into support for the Sandinistas.

Unfortunately, they have nothing BUT free passes. Supporting dims is necessary (in the minds of 20-39%) for economic well-being, health care, etc - the ultimate re-education camp, ensuring that people stay on the reservation/plantation (___ ____ and Star Parker). I do pray for integrity and God's justice to win out.

Important differences between this and Iran Contra are:

> Iran-Contra involved hostages, not a deserter & probable defector

> Iran-Contra did not involve direct actions by Reagan, Obama personally negotiated the return of imprisoned Taliban commanders

Least of all, Hillary

Of course

But that we have to hear that Hillary is not as bad as BO iOS outrageous

We know she was in the WH last week in a secret meeting w him. All the pundits know it. We know she said she was in favor of the prisoner swap at first until she heard the roar. Then she was against it

All we hear from Dana peri I, Andrea tante rod, etc, is that even h is against this

It is out of control, the extent to which people want to allow her to be in the White House, or to put her there

They are both worse than anyone even thinks. Do we know all there is to know about what they are up to?

Ugh

“I read here from a poster just yesterday that Hillary respects the constitution.”

Some people simply refuse to believe the Clintons have hated this country since the 1960’s.

From my perspective I find the Clintonites more bazar than the Obamabots.

The jug eared clown has only been creating havoc for a few years, with the Clintons there is over 40 years of records of the havoc the Clintons have caused.

There clearly has to be a serious mental problem with someone that can simply ignore over 40 years of non ending Clinton scandals.

Some refuse to believe that all LIBs hate Free America, hate the Constitution, hate the Bill of Rights, hate the Rule of Law, hate you and hate your family. Everything done by LIBs is intentional. Some are overwhelmed by the reality of what sane people must fight. Some would like to perpetually "reach across the aisle" to these destructive devils, rather than face reality that LIBs are hopeless and will always be LIBs.
