Self-defense training seems to make more sense than certain other ridiculous methods that have been suggested, but apparently many disagree.

Reminds me of day I went to a martial arts exhibit at local karate school. Two seriously ugly lesbians were grunting and growling but could not, for the life of them, put their hands through the small board used for beginners. Then, a tiny, very pretty and feminine Korean woman was tossing enormous black belt men over her shoulder. She was so serene, centered, and unruffled, she could have been rocking the baby with her other arm.
Another point to remember is that for a feminist just about any sex is rape. This includes consensual sex if the woman has second thoughts the day or week or month afterwards.
Classic example of the notion that all problems of society can be solved with "education."

With possible rare exceptions where a rapist is legally insane, he knows it's wrong, or at least illegal, and he decides to do it anyway.
Oh, there is another possible exception where all parties are drunk or drugged and not really aware of what's going on. But doesn't seem likely education would be of much help there either.
Used to teach state-required CE classes in Ethics to insurance agents and adjusters. With very rare exceptions, everything discussed was perfectly obviously unethical. Nobody engaged in such behavior would be unaware they were doing wrong. But state legislatures would put in a requirement for Ethics education whenever an egregious example of insurance company wrongdoing came to light. As if ignorance of ethical obligations is the issue.
